Bye bye Cars! *smirk*
So this time we get a happy ending.

To be honest, I think I'm going to miss Cars. I always kind of identified with him [and the other pillar men] because I'm a ginger and we share a common enemy: The Sun. Really though, I suppose it was an inevitability; we all knew that Cars was a sculpture trapped in an Ultimate Being's body.
lol at celibate Speedwagon, it seems that, despite his spiffy animullet, he never found a woman who equaled his love of dramatic narration. And as for Stroheim: R.I.P.
He was the broest of Nazis. ;_;7

This ep clearly had a decent budget, hopefully the show does well enough that the entire series can get a budget increase.

Nononononono, the OVA doesn't even adapt everything that happened in the manga, plus allot of scenes were changed compared to the manga.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Okay, well, the 90's OVA was pretty good. But, I am definitely looking forward to David Production's take on part 3 and what should be a much more faithful adaptation.

Good stuff, I honestly find myself preferring this adaptation over the first two parts of the manga, except for maybe the chariot race scene. Overall, this was just a fun series to watch. I'm looking forward to Part 3. Sugita is amazing as Joseph, so I'm glad he's going to be doing older Joseph in Stardust Crusaders. Seeing Jotaro was cool as well.

Probably one of the best adaptations I've seen. The only downside is that not every episode had great animation like the last two ones.

But other than that, it's nearly perfect, and managed to expand some of the scenes in the manga.

9/10, fuck yes.

I heard a lot of the epilogues after the last fight with Cars are anime original. Is it true? If yes, then this just goes to show how one can do anime original right.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Well, sort of...

The epilogues were in the manga, but they only showed the portraits of the characters along with the text explaining what happened to them. The manga didn't have the scenes like Stroheim popping a bunch of weapons out of his back and yelling "SEKAIII ICHIIIII!!!" Those scenes are indeed anime original.

SEKAIII ICHIIIIII!!! That's what the JoJo series is to me!
Ah they did the finale so well and the part 3 teaser got me too excited. Especially because of Jotaro and it looks like Sugita is still playing as Joseph! I'm so glad! And Dio's return! Can't wait for Koyasu too. Hoping they won't change the VA for Jotaro, Ono Daisuke from ASB.

Overall, the anime adaptation was wonderful. I especially love the OST. Who knew dubsteps would go so well in this series. I love how they animated some original scenes to the epilogues and not just merely narrating it. Stroheim's was probably the best tho, made me laughed. Stardust Crusaders, come soon!

Next part: arguably, the best part of the saga.

Part 3 was a generic monster-of-the-week shounen. It's far from the best.

Though I agree, it has some of the best monster-of-the-week material out there, especially in the last third or so. Though there were also several throwaways.

Generally I find part 4 to be the best Monster-of-the-Week arc, but hey.

Absolutely amazing. I teared up when Jojo "died" and also when he showed at the funeral.

Also loved the ending where he hated the Japanese for one of them marrying his daughter, but then says that he loves his Walkman (nice advertising hahaha).

HELL NO! The OVAs cut out like 60% of Part 3, not to mention the cut out ALL of the comedy from it, also no poses and no ARAKI COLORS. Part 3 deserves a proper adaptation.

This was just amazing. Way to make me start a series watching it ironically and have me end it thinking it was wonderful. Loved this show to death.

I just loved how Joseph dealt with Cars, especially with the first op playing in the background. Oh man the chills.

I give this series a 9/10. A breath of fresh air that the industry needed.

Hey at least they kept that D'ARBY! Poker Game.

JJBA was an enjoyable series. A little inconsistent of art. The ending battle with Kars even back when I read the manga. I felt it was somewhat anti-climatic. But boy was it enjoyable when Jojo pull a lie to piss Kars off.

Part 3 teaser was awesome. I love how the Sono chi No Sadame and Bloody Stream differently this time. And amaze there was no Roundabout ending.

Final rating 9/10.

JoJo's Final episode was the best in the world!

I really liked this adaptation. I didn't like the Phantom Blood manga, but I really enjoyed the adaptation, all thanks to David Production and Koyasu Takehito. I really look forward to hearing Koyasu's THE WORLD and his final WRRRRRRRY. If we don't get a Stardust Crusaders adaptation, at least I'll hear it in the game. At first I wasn't fond of Sugita being Joseph, as Joseph is my favorite Jojo out of the first four, but he did a good job. I was shocked when I found out that Sugita voiced old Joseph. If he can change his voice that good, why does he always use the same voice in all other shows, heh.

So far the only flaws of the show are the flaws carried over from the manga. They did a great literal adaptation, but that's also a big problem. Even though Phantom Blood was more interesting in the anime, it was still quite bad. This is one of the reasons why I miss those old school adaptations like Rose of Versailles, where they expand various parts of the manga and fix some flaws.

Hopefully they decide to adapt the rest of it. I'd love seeing a Part 4 adaptation. Would be cool if the ending theme for the second half was Another One Bites The Dust or Killer Queen, but I guess that would be even more expensive than Roundabout, right?

But he doesn't always use the same voice. Though that's mainly in his non-comedic roles, which I admit isn't that often these days. I wish he'd do more serious roles like in say Honey and Clover. That guy has really good vocal range.

It's pretty logical to think they'll be continuing at some point considering they showed the protagonist of Part 3 at the end. Not to mention Stardust Crusaders is apparently one of the more popular arcs.

Not to mention the popularity of Part 3. They'd be literally throwing away money to not animate it.

I understand what you mean AnimeFtw1, but Jojo is a little different since it's such an old manga and already has such a strong, loyal (and now growing) fanbase.

There was 1 thing I didn't understand about the last part of the episode

When they picked up the coffin, it seems like the coffin that Erina was in to escape.
Was it from the same boat from part 1? if it was there two coffins there?

Haha, it was only a matter of time till someone mentioned it.

Araki's not always the greatest at remembering things; he'll either retcon past events to fit the story he wants to tell, or will just plain forget stuff, on occasion. Not a big problem, but it can be irksome at times.

This was orgasmic.
The end of Cars was handled in a beautiful way, with Sono Chi no Sadame playing in the background.
Not to mention the amazing last minutes with old Joseph at the airport, the extended epilogue (Stroheim!) and the teaser for Stardust Crusaders!

Overall, I would give this series either a 8 or 9 out of 10. It was a pretty faithful adaption and although the animation wasn't the best they did almost everything right and delivered nearly all important scenes in an excellent way. The soundtrack and the voice acting were superb, although some songs could've been used better.

Really sad to see this end. It was a good ride all the way through though and I really didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. The animation was a little choppy at times but the style and character oozing from this anime made me forgive it completely. This is coming from someone who has not previously read or watched any of the Jojo franchise but I'm really hyped to catch up on what I missed now.

Seems David Production have other things in the works though namely this terrifying thing :P

Joesph manage to break off the Joestar curse leaving to one hell of a satisfying conclusion. I couldn't help but laugh like crazy when he assault that poor Japanese man.

And poor Cars, karma can sure be a bitch. When he was banish into space, it was as if he was atoning for all the wrong he has cause.

I know i'm gonna get alot of hate for this, but the finale was very poorly executed. I knew nothing of JJBA before the anime was released, so i didnt know what to expect. The anime was incredible to say the least but the ending was ridiculous and insulting to me. The part where the volcano blasts them in the air and jojos hand shoots up from the ground to strike cars was absolutely ridiculous, i know that there was alot of ridiculousness throughout the show but there is only so much bs someone can take. There was no mention of Caesar whatsoever, Jojo saying "Caesar, we did it" would have been enough, and also the way they casually mention that Lisa Lisa told JoJo that shes his mother, showing a scene would have been better. Moreover when they show the coffin dio used hinting that he made it, how in the world would he have been able to get into the coffin if erina used it to escape, this is beside the fact he was blown to bits. I know im nitpicking but i held this show in very high regard and this finale was a huge letdown in my opinion.

This was amazing. As when you think Cars is finally done for, he comes back with a roar! And this time cutting off Jojo's left arm, though it wasn't a big loss due to Broheimu would easily help him Jojo out with a new mechanical arm! When all hope is lost, instinct kicks in and turns the tide and Cars and JoJo are sent towards the atmosphere with a big bang from the volcano! Loved it, and Cars finally got done in! I had in mind that Cars' dying wouldn't be enough for all he has done, but sending him to space with no return and in a state he cannot move, but think is all satisfying for me! Cars even stopped thinking. Haha

The ending to this show was beautifully done, and the funeral was epic! Only JoJo would come and ruin his own funeral, and that Telegram, as expected of a blonde Susie Q. Then Erina and Speedwagon die due to their age, and Broheimu dies in the Stalingrad like one badass cyborg he is. Never to be forgotten! True hero! This was done so great, in many ways.

Our JoJo got old, and is still kicking out fine, haha. And with the technology growing, it was given to make that reference there, and with that the part 2 ends in a glorious way. Amazing!

Now for the teaser for part 3, holy fuck! Dio's chest is picked back up, and apparently the 3rd JoJo is in jail for some reason. The return of Dio is surely I hope will be animated if that is the case! I will definitely be reading the manga of this franchise, its simply put insanely good. My body is ready for part 3!!

9 Wryyyy out of 10 for me for this show! Can't wait for more, and I hope the same studio will do the other parts as well. This is how shounen should be animated for crying out loud!

Loved it when JoJo sees his own tombstone and i'm so happy he actually grew old.

Technically my scores are:
Phantom Blood: 7/10 (I liked Jonathan but I preferred Joseph.)
Battle Tendency: 9/10

The soundtrack, the animation, the extremely over-the-topness, the sparkling fabulous of it all.
