| if this doesn't get a second season then i will have to drop it from a 7 it just felt like they were teeing up for a second! just hope they follow through! other than that it was okay i liked the characters and music, the pacing was good despite it being only 12 episodes and i liked the whole tactical side of the war and such! even though it wasn't exactly acttion packed and quite hefty on dialouge at times i rate it a seven! |
| I had optimism for a thrilling conclusion around episode 9, then 10 happened and I was like "Well it's just setting the table for exciting stuff in the last 2 episodes", then I watched episode 11 and went "That was good, hopefully this momentum continues into the last episode", and finally I watched episode 12 and my reaction was "okay that was so average they've put a picture of Yuusha and Mayou in the dictionary next to the definition of average." I liked it all told, but at the end of the day the show was average despite having the potential for great things. Maybe a season 2, if it happens, would get it right. |
| I highly enjoyed the series. IT seemed to me that this show succeeded where spice and wolf was lackluster. BUt its a show about economics really so you get some intrigue, theres hints of sex and jokes, but al lthat aside still an enjoyable watch. The ending could have been much better; unless of course tis a cliffhanger for a second season, in which case all is forgiven. 7.6/10 |
| This first season served as a nice introduction to this series. I hope that they make season 2 soon. Otherwise I might take up the light novel. Overall it was a nice ride, although I would have wished a little more action. 8/10 |

| Quite decent ending I liked it up until now a lot actually, especially the characters, what I did lacked was a proper relation/love development between the characters but other than that some epic fights, speeches and development in general. In the end a quite decent anime I've got to say! |

| I liked this series but it could of been sooo much better. I'm a big fan of spice and wolf so in a way this is my preferred anime but the storyline just didn't do it for me. Hopefully a second season comes out :) |

| I really really really REALLY! Hope this anime never gets a season 2. So much disappointment in this series. So many lost chances, so much terrible execution. Such awful plot progression and shallow, convenient characters. How DARE people put this on the level of Spice and Wolf, it's an insult pure and simple. |
| This has so much potential for a 2nd season since there's so much that's left over. like after the awesome episode 9 speech, who was that king with the 9 problem. The kiss the never happened, and the merchant's big plans. As well as the other evil king's plans. So much left over. |

I think they should of just drop the Demon and magic BS and make an actual historical anime. xD It felt kind of weird seeing the Hero with all that power all of a sudden really. I mean, did they give an explanation as to why he`s so OP or are we just supposed to believe that he was born that way? Not sure. Overall its boring as FUCK, but entertaining at the same time. The comedic parts were also funny. =) 7.5/10 |

Regardless, I hope they continue the series to further continue developing the characters and answers any hanging questions. :) One thing I kind of don't understand; why exactly does the demon king cry at the end? and who exactly was the head maid referring to when she said " I'm glad you met" ? |

| Good anime overall, I really enojyed it. Didn't liked the end because it didn't feel like a conclusion at all, just the opposite. I really hope this get a 2nd season. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered. 8/10 |

| Great finale, but no kissu scene >.< , i wonder who will the Yuusha end up with, either Maou or Onna Kishi, i love both of them, great characters personality and development throughout the episodes, and the story line is amazing eventhough it was a little bit confusing at first, wouldn't mind for a second season, in fact there must be a second season ! overall score 8/10, would give it 9/10 if there was a kiss scene. |

| Wow the direction of this anime is one that I didnt expect and I suppose is novel, so I'll give credits for that. But, there's so many unexplained stuff and characters, I felt confused at times. I really like the initial idea, but I feel like the other side stories could've developed further, which could've make this a stronger series. Actually I felt like I was reading a chapter on Europe from my history book as I was watching this series lol |

| Loved this series and hoping for a second season very much. Cannot deny the fact that there were flaws, subplots lacked development, it felt rushed. Also, there was a blatant lack of kissing scene. But well, what I saw was really enjoyable to me during the whole series. Because of that, I'll give this a 8 out of 10. |
| I enjoyed it. Not the best, but then again.... I'm almost running out of shows that suit my tastes, so w/e. I'm actually trying to find out if I can watch the last ep without the music and hear what was being said at that table. Haha. |

| Such.. a bad.. ending.. This whole series was basically a let down. At first I was excited, cute medieval romance between a hero and a demon lord. But nope. There was this side plot and that one oh and this one too and oh don't forget about that one. There was just always so much going on, I'm not even exactly sure what I just spent my whole day watching. Not to mention the how both MCs would be separated for large amounts of time for no reason, which basically destroyed the romance aspect of this anime. Aghh I'm just so disappointed.. Really a huge waste of time. Especially an ending like there, where nothing seemed to get solved except one bad dude dying and no one caring about it. Awesome. |

| I can't say that I hated it... but that ending, if that's what you could really call it.. Its sad but, the best moment of the whole series isn't done by the main characters, it done by that surf chick. When she is in her shackles and giving the human vs insect speech, that made it worth watching this series. It was an amazing speech. But the rest of it? I'm not sure what it wanted to be or what it was trying to do. Was it a story about war and politics and corruption? Was it about being enslaved and trying to be free? Was it about two chicks fighting over one man for love? Was it about trying to make the world a better place? Was it about war between mankind and demons or humans and humans? Was it about trying to fight the fate that was given to you and being a better person? Action fantasy medieval piece? idk. It touch on soo many topics and never really resolved anything to my satisfactory. Maybe it should have never been crammed into only 12 episodes. It could have been very good, it had a great start and a great middle... but it gets to the end and you're left asking "what was the conclusion?", "What was the climax?". Because it didn't really do anything and petered out with out anything being tied up, I have to give this series a low score. At least with some of those series that you Hate the ending to, it was a real ending; not like this. I'm pretty disappointed. |

| rewatched it at least twice, yet I have never given a shoe such a high score that left me wanting more only not to satisfy my desire. Truly a complex and yet simply enough to understand and enjoy show. 8.5/10 |

| Overall I loved it! Although with this ending it is kind of in need of a second season. I always hope for a last episode kiss, but that didn't happen. I really enjoyed the art work, and most of all the magic graphics! Bad ass thunderbolt, and teleportation spells. This was one of the first animes that i have watched that was really fast paced. I think more than 3-4 years passed? or somewhere around there. In some animes that would take close to 400+ episodes. I was also hoping to see the hero in a super intense combat scene, but I can already tell that he is far more powerful than anyone in the series. Considering that once someone becomes demon king, the receive demon king combat abilities which is essential to be on par with the hero, so I guess that is how i came to the conclusion of him being that powerful... I would of loved to see him in a fight tho. |
