| A good episode, the typical cocky shounen protagonist with something special about him. Surprised that he actually won though, I expected him to lose for some stupid reason. Where was that instructor supposed to be from? He sounded pretty stupid. |

| Good start. I really liked Judai, although I missed Yugi. And speaking of Yugi, was nice to see him making a brief appearance. |

| ugh Cronos is way more annoying than I remember from the English dub *shocking* I really hope he doesn't play a big role in the series or just gets less annoying. Yugioh has been pretty good to me with keeping really annoying characters out of their shows :( But anyway, I've only seen a little of this on TV and am really excited to finally watch it properly and to the end. Let the fun begin! |

| Forget Goku Sean Schemmel's true magnum opus is voicing Professor Crowler. For as a bad a company as 4Kids was, I always find there jokes especially during this era of the company to be so awfully amusing, some of them are so lame I just cant help but smile. |
| I have seen some episodes with the Japanese dub and all of season 4, but I never fully rewatched this series in it so I'm pretty excited. Really classic shounen start, I immediately fell in love with Jaden or Juudai all over again. And the OST when he is about to turn the duel is one of my all time favorites. |

| The introduction of Juudai's hero deck and the lighthearted OST really sets the tone. I'm used to him as Jaden but excited to get to know him as Juudai. The professor sucked lol, but his loss makes me get into this shounen mood. I expect all the goofy shenanigans and can't wait to see everyone climb. |

| I never got why they hid Yugi's face; we know it has to be the little Yugi since the other Yugi's/Atem's soul returned to the afterlife at the end of DM, so why tease us by having Yugi's cameo be so vague? Also this was the only time that we saw girls in Ra Yellow uniforms iirc. Also the duel examination area here resembled the building from Pyramid of Light where Kaiba and Yugi dueled since it was on top of a mountain, but in later episodes we don't see that mountain even when Kaiba Corp HQ is seen again later on despite the building being close to that mountain at the start of this episode. :/ |

He gotta look at least a bit different. Secondly, the mysterious vibe from not showing his face makes the scene cooler xD In one of the episodes it's mentioned that there are neither girls in Slifer Red nor in Ra Yellow. The girls in episode one were prolly part of the staff. |
