Director Imaishi Hiroyuki's New Anime Project 'Kill la Kill' Announced (Confirmed to Air 2013 October)
| According to NewType magazine March issue, director Imaishi Hiroyuki has announced his new anime project. The production studio is Trigger, a new studio established by Imaishi after he quit Gainax. Imaishi said he has been working on the project since 2010 along with Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Details of the project will be revealed in the June issue of the magazine to be released on March 10th. Update (May 9th 2013): The new anime will be a 2-cour TV series named "Kirurakiru" (Kill la Kill). Update (Jun 30th 2013): Confirmed to start in 2013 October. More information can be found here. Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| The latest June issue of NewType magazine carries the latest details of the project: Name of the anime - "Kirurakiru" (Kill la Kill) Studio - Trigger Director - Imaishi Hiroyuki[ Series Composition - Nakashima Kazuki Character Design - Sushio Length of the series - 2 cours Broadcast schedule - not disclosed yet Main Characters Matoi Ryuuko (seiyuu not disclosed yet) - motto: Conquest x Revenge Kiryuuin Satsuki (seiyuu not disclosed yet) - motto: Conquest x Conquest Story background: A story about battle actions between highschool girls. In a school where strength and power is everything, a new transfer student triggers an upheaval. Satsuki is a 18 year old girl who is the student council president. She dominates the campus with her overwhelming power. In her position, she examines the ability of each student and is able to grant those she deems worthy the "extreme uniform (gyoku seifuku)" that can bring superhuman power to the wearer. Ryuuko is a 17 year old girl who has just transferred into this school. She has half a pair of giant scissors made of tachi-sword and is searching for the remaining half.
