Did Yuriko's mother looks kind of similar with Kotoura's mother? Way to go Manabe but I think that his honest personality will bite him somehow after this. This show definitely in my watch list now. :3 |

| The way this show goes from light-hearted comedy straight into hearth-crunching drama in a matter of split-seconds is what makes me come back for more. When that one mental image from Yuriko's mother flashed on the screen I had to do a double take and go back and watch it again, I didn't believe what I saw for a second. I was a bit afraid that they were going to focus on just the comedy from the 2nd episode but I'm glad I was proven wrong. This is far more interesting. |

| Just awesome!! This season's favorite show for me, that's sure^^ I don't get the negative comments here... I actually feared that after showing a great first half in the first ep, it would just turn into a 08/15-rom-com. But it didn't. It's funny, but it still got dark moments. And the side characters apparently have more to them than just being the funny senpai - like in 9000 other comedy shows. This one just got more depth to it. And forced drama? Ok, maybe a bit, like with the cat (talking about ep1 now). But for the most part, I think it's not that far from reality. A child like that would be hated by others. I could also imagine her commiting suicide. So I don't think the drama was forced, but rather a logical conclusion of having such a power in society. Love this ep, and hope the following eps will maintain this combination of fun and emotions. Looking forward to next eps! :-) |

| A rom-com with a dark background is really uncommon for anime nowadays, or at least to me. Props to the studio for trying something new even though with little budget. I wonder how this will sell, given that 'dark' anime tends to sell way less than its opposite, then again the show manages to be one of the most talked this season and it really isn't all that 'dark'... That aside, there are some flaws in this episode to me, but its mostly about technical stuff that no one really cares. As long as this show stays sensible and continues to be interesting, I doubt anything this season could top this for me. 5/5 for an interesting and solid episode. |

Also, Kotoura cannot control her powers. She hears what people think (and sees what they imagine, it seems) Imagine you couldn't cover your ears or close your eyes, and suddenly everyone says and shows what they think. That's Kotoura's position. As for saying it out loud what other people think... when she was young, she couldn't tell between thoughts and words because she heard them both just the same. So she was basically confused by them telling two different things. Now, she uses the power to keep people at distance (when she was approached by the two girls in her class). When she was "fortune-telling", she handled things pretty good, until bitchybitch came around and mindraped her... again. As for the male lead... sorry, he's a'ight in my books. I mean, he's just as pervy as many other male leads, but the way he protected Kotoura and told the other girl off basically doubled his manlyness. |

There are two ways to interpret this: 1) There is no rape drama. or 2) There is no drama that is so melodramatic that it feels forced.
