| Hmmm the background and story of this show are quite confusing actually, but I guess we'll see and understand more in the next episodes. Good first part for this arc though, I'll watch the second part now ;) |

| I really love this anime, really nice animation, a freaking sexy main female lead and a great soundtrack. The soundtrack reminds me of a Quintin Tarantino flick sometimes. What annoys me about MnH is that we have great sound, music, animation, characters, and story, but it seems the director if screwing up all over the place. The pacing doesn't flow well at all. Well, at least not in comparison to cowboy bebop and samurai champloo. I'm just hoping the execution gets better as the series goes on. In this case, the ending of pepe's arc wasn't... properly set up. It lacked the hopeless atmosphere needed to properly foreshadow an end like that. Snags like this are littered throughout the episodes I've seen so far. Idk, maybe its funimations dub or someone else beside the director, but someone is screwing this show over. |

| They finally duped us unlike Samurai Champloo where an episode said to be continued would actually be continued. Poor Peme or whats her name, well thats how it is, protecting Hatchin presides over Michiko's virtues. Maybe it will be continued but otherwise a real scenario where a choice must be chosen and the other one simply not. I assume Peme is dead, the little sister is living a very hard life and may be one of the juvenile deliquent gang |
