| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Watched it unsubbed, I remember what it's all about from the manga anyway. First of, it's only six and half minutes long, which means it's the shortest one out of three. And it feels like it consists of chibis and silliness on 40% which gives a really weird impression. Actually there were less than 40% of omake-style material, still it felt otherwise, at least for the first time. Should I watch all mini episodes at once it will be ok, yet watching episode 3 alone was quite a psychedelic experience =). Walter vs. Captain fight has been animated better from Walter vs. the shooting squad from The Dawn episode 2, but still not as good as fights from the main series. I was pretty sure The Dawn manga chapter 6 will not make it into the thing (too much material to cover plus chapter 6 is the crazy one with the smoking coffin etc.), but in the end even chapter 5 with all the Alucard action ended up left out (interesting detail: some brief shots from it were actually present in the flashbacks from OVA9). One may think with chapter 4 it will be logical to end up on a money shot with Girlycard emerging from the coffin being all epic and flashy, but they decided to put a clip with a railway cannon quietly moving out at the night right after Girlycard and then end it there, which was pretty anticlimactic in my opinion. So anticlimactic that this anime just have to be continued now in some other form, it wouldn't make sense to leave it like that. Well, guess we've got a trailer of Drifters as out climax, but that doesn't really count. |

| Too much emphasis on comedic stuff. Not that it wasn't present in the manga though, but with such a short episode as this it felt like it was in the focus for too long. Regardless, I liked the episode. The animation during Walter's fight was better than the last time and Alucard makes his (sadly, very brief) appearance. But, what was with that abrupt ending? Does it mean we won't see a continuation and it'll end like this. That'd be anticlimactic indeed. I was surprised, in a good way, to see Drifters. Yes, it was mostly a commercial for the manga, but now I'd really like to see it animated. |

| I still cant find a subbed version, but i figure; just dont bother since you guys say it's more comedy oriented and not very important. Guess i'll just have to go read The Dawn manga for the full story! |

| Very interesting ending of this prequel and well with this kind of quality I'm sure I'm going to love what the full story has to offer! So let's see how epic the story of Hellsing Ultimate will be like! |

| What's there was good, but damn it ends abruptly and with no resolution. Plus, what the hell was up with that trailer? Suddenly there's a samurai in a hallway apropos of nothing and he gets sucked into a door. It wasn't until the text came up about Hirano's new manga series that I realized it was a trailer. *sigh* I guess it gets 7/10, would have been 9 if we had a decent resolution. |

Just when Alucard woke up and the HYPE level was over 9000 you gonna cut the fight and give us a 4 fuckin minutes trailer about some shitty show. 4 years later and this shitty show is not even out yet, what a waste. Even if the manga was on hiatus, do a filler ending or some shit and then put your dumb trailer. Dumbest Ending Of All Time. 4/10 because of this shitty ending. |

That show they advertised at the end is far from shitty, it's basically an anime by people who did Hellsing Ultimate based on the latest big manga by the mangaka who wrote Hellsing. I bet should Hirno actually finish The Dawn some time in the future (a man can dream), they will immediately schedule a complete animated version to be done as well. |

| Yes, with this short ends a few information about our favorites characters in the second world war!!! Interesting, under the bloody and adictive style of Hellsing, but enough for me xD 6/10. |

| Gotta love Walter in all his young glory. The Captain was cool too...not enough of either of them though. 7/10 This premise gets me curious for Ultimate. Time to take it on! |

| I'm really disappointed. Alucard is one of my favorite hazu of all time and I WAS GIPPED! WE ALL WERE! I just wanted to see his pretty face, but all I got was a 20 minute backstory of tiny Walter. （;≧皿≦） |
