| If there isn't a second reason I'm ripping my hair out. My favorite aspect of this series was how natural Haru and Shizuku's relationship felt, as opposed to all those stories that focus on an intense, love at first sight kind of thing. This felt slower, yes, but that made it more realistic. Also, needs more YamaKen. |

| I really hoped for something to happen between Natsume and Misawa, but i am fine with how things turned out. The episode was quite boring. |

| I'm sure this was an anime orginal episode because I don't remember this story in the manga. I'm glad though because I've no idea how they would have concluded a 13 episode series if there was no prospect of a second season considering that there is quite a bit more to come. |
| Kyaa, this is the end! >.< There is going to be an OVA though; not sure about a second season though. >.< This episode did make it seem like Shizuku is developing some sort of feeling for Yamaken *she was blushing when she was with him, for what reason I'm not 100% sure of yet though; could be the cold or that she has a feeling for him^^* Well, ending was cute; totally not a good ending for this whole series though. Hoping that they won't drop this show! Now we wait for the OVA^^ |

The faces were typically blushed for everyone during scenes that took place throughout winter. Regardless, she'll, of course, never develop any feelings for Yamaken. |

| I felt like it was wrapped up nicely. I will definitely re watch this someday. I hope it gets released on DVD and Blu ray to the western world so that I can pick it up. |

| Probably the worst episode. i mean they could at least give us some kind of conclusion since this is the last episode, but nope just haru being a retard as always, then they gathered all the characters at one place then accomplish nothing seriously??? not to mention the way they do it is really stupid. But overall it's actually not that good, but not the worst. |

| don't know why I like the fact it didn't feel like the last ep. Was a good show, one of my favourite od the season. It has an eargasmic OST, good visuals, nice characters desings, good development and creative stuff... I'm actually thinking about rewatching it as soon as I can. Usually don't rewatch anything, but this deserves it. 10/10. Really. I loved it. Happy new year minna!!! |
| this ending was just... awful. It was a really unsatisfying way to wrap up the show. With a missing chicken. Shizuku and Haru's relationship didn't get much done, but I have to admit, I thought it was cute at the end how the two saw the firefly together. | The ending wasn't very satisfying... And the whole idea with the rooster is just plain stupid. It should just vanish :( I would also like to see more of Natsume, the owner of batting center and the baseball boy Sasahara! There are so many parts of the anime that I should be complaining on but whatever, the anime was a good laugh so I'll give it 8/10 despite its flaws :) |

| I'm not entirely sure why most of the post in "discussions" are people explaining what happened in an episode. Anyway I didn't like the ending, the type of inner-monologue-short-romance-anime, there wasn't anything really exciting going on and the characters weren't exactly original. Not much development either, but the comedy side was fun at least. Not my favorite from the season, but one of the decent ones. |

| Well, if there is no second season this whole anime was waste of time. Last ep gave us no conclusions whatsoever.. It felt disappointing somehow. 5/10 Edit: If there is second season coming that would be whole other thing. 7/10 |

| Great animation throughout, especially the color scheme. I totally dig that. But I agree, it wasn't that satisfying as the end of it. Still it's one of the best this season and one of the highest ranked ones. And it's one of a couple of anime where it's informative to look at the rating from ep to ep: (Each dot is one episode, starting at ep 0, the initial rating, last rating 1 week after airing of last ep) While the rating itself fell from the start, it was quite solid throughout the airing but fell at the end again. Pretty much actually. But it got a good amount of people marking it as their favourites throughout. That gives the impression that it was quite a solid anime without (m)any surprises. Or as others might call it: generic. However, I'm hoping for more. There's plenty room for more in my eyes.. |

| The progression completely froze over this episode. For an ending this solved nothing and for what it presented in the first episode, none of it was properly addressed. aka a disaster of an ending, though it's not a bad episode by itself. When I look at the events of the previous episodes, I find that Natsume's confession was left in the air, Yuu's introduction was far too late, and Oshima's role felt too unstable and unused. The lack of a conclusion makes this episode seem just like any other episode. For what Tonari presented though, it was very well established and I liked the also well defined characters. The only disappointment I found was the ending. For that, I hope for a season two, to finish what this season started and to bring a much needed conclusion. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is an excellent romance, but the ending leaves too much to be desired for Tonari to soar exceptionally. What Brains Base has done is most certainly impressive in itself though. 8/10 |
