| Like everybody else said, it sucks that it didn't got nowhere. I really liked this show, probably my favorite besides chu2byo. episode, 4/5 overall, 8/10 |

| The series started off well, but just ended up being so roundabout and unsatisfying, especially this last episode. Well, at least Yuu-chan was in it. |

| I didn't enjoy this episode at all. Oh well. Overall, I enjoyed these series (mostly because of Haru), but there were some points, that I didn't like. I give Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun 7/10. |
| Shizuku's reaction to the phone was pretty funny though something i can relate to people always call when you least expect it and at the worst possible times. Haru was again pretty unexpected as usual not looking for Nagoya but for a firefly which he eventually found as well losing all his personal belongings along the way. And causing his friends to go look for him especially the part at the river was pretty funny a sick person should stay in bed and not look around for people they only end up getting hurt. The ending was also pretty strange when Mi-chan got back at the batting centre with someone he doesn't know sitting there. This ending also suggested a second season but i guess we will see in time. |

Although not much actually happened overall, the show did set up the stage for the anime, execution wasn't an issue, rather the number of episodes was just not enough to fit it all. I think it's much better that they kept it as paced as it was than try to rush it and throw in some random original ending. THIS. I feel the same way. It can be because I'm reading the manga, but I loved this adaptation, it was REALLY good. The anime end wasn't really an issue for me...but always hoping for a second season! :D And this episode was funny, that I really didn't mind it being an original episode LOL 9/10 for me. 5/5 ("JOJIIIIII!! D:" and Yuu-chan LOL) |

| Not a very satisfying ending at all, although it would have worked well anywhere else. Nevertheless, I did really enjoy this series. Until a 2nd season is confirmed, I'm giving it a 7/10. When it is, I'll bump it up to an 8/10. |
| I really enjoyed this anime. I hope there is a second season. I liked how the ending connected with the beggining... Haru and Shizuku are so sweet ^^ and Yamaken is so cute hehe |
| ...Is that it? LOL Doesn't feel like a proper last episode. Let's go, second season! We need more on Natsume, Sasayan, Yamaken, and everybody else. ;) Overall, I'd give 7 or 8 out of 10 for this season. (Still deciding on score) Reason being, there wasn't much of a plot since it was driven by the characters. The characters other than mains should get more screentime. I definitely prefer Yamaken x Shizuku moments because they feel unique and they're cuter. xD Haru x Shizuku moments were kind of expected and not that interesting. |
| A slow and decent ending. This show entertained me and I am hoping the S2 will be soon. I love Mi-chan for Natsume and I hope they will end up with each other. Sasayan is a nice chara. He's nice to be around. And, there's Yamaken too. I hope to these and the rest of the guys in the next installment, once aired. Was that Yuuzan with teddy behind Mi-chan? Yuuzan was about the same height with Mi-chan, right? The one behind is shorter though. |

| I enjoyed the anime, even though it didn't take the exact route of the manga. At least in the anime Shizuku kinda saves her image. She looks like a confused loose female in the manga. |
| It didn't really feel like the final episode... I know they couldn't give us a 'proper' ending since the manga is still ongoing, but I hope for some resolution in the OVA or second season maybe? Overall, I'm giving this show 7/10 'cause the start was absolutely brilliant but later it felt like it somehow lost its pace and the supporting characters became more intreresting for me than the main ones... still a good watch though. |

| The episode itself was very cute, but it definitely didn't seem like an ending. It felt like any of the other episodes. I can only hope that there will be a season 2 sometime in the near future. If not, manga time! |

| Not the ending that I was hoping for but it was still nice. Hopefully there will be a second season. 3/5 for the ending and 8.5/10 for the series. |

| I really enjoyed the show, but the ending didn't sit well with me. In my opinion, I think there were far too many sub-plots that needed to be completed. Besides that I would say that this show was alright overall. 7/10 |

| I'm not going to sugar coat it here. I loved the first eight or so episodes of this anime. It was looking like a sure 9 and maybe even a 10 if it had an awesome finish. Then it just went stale and had a TERRIBLE final episode. Seriously, wtf was that? If there is a season 2, then all is forgiven, but until then, that was BS. I gave it an 8, but it probably deserved a 7, meh. |

| I thought Haru was deliberately leaving items to get everybody together in one place. And I was expecting Natsume & Sasahara to get together. They just seem like the sort of characters that would be a in a relationship. If you can understand that. All in all, I have enjoyed it. And would happily watch a second season. |
| Well that sure was a fun watch. Could've been done better, but still pretty good regardless. I wish their relationship pushed a little further, but its fine I guess. Second season? :D |

| what a disappointing ending it was .. kinda expecting a HaruXShizuku development, or at least a Yamaken moment actually ... hmmmpf ... well, I'm not sure if I'm gonna continue to read the manga, but I do expect a season 2 ..... :) |
| I don't know...the episode was fine. The series however started really well, the first half made it my pick of the season...however I felt it stalled in the second half though where there wasn't really any progress for anyone it felt like. First half I would rate a 9/10, second half or rather last third I would rate 6/10 so I gave it a 7 overall. |

| Started off really well, but fell flat towards the second half. There was hardly any progress or development between the characters, and virtually no plot towards the end. Dropped the rating from 8/10 to 6/10. |

| ^ Pretty much agree. Too much messing about and pointless characters. Absolutely nothing came about with Ooshima and it seemed like she was mostly forgotten in the past couple of episodes. The ending didn't really feel like an ending at all... I give it 6.5/10 because it has some nice animation. |
| Ah I liked the anime overall. I think the side characters are important, in that they add some more fun element. You can't help but laugh. Even though there wasn't too much development in the last episode of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun between Shizuku and Haru, that last moment was quite cute. I mean, the entire time, you think Haru's been looking for the chicken, only to troll that he was looking for a glowing bug. Hahaha..... The anime is just...fun to watch. Really light hearted so it's fine, even if there was little progress at the end of the anime. It's still incomplete (I think). I hope there's a 2nd season! |

| Didn't really give me the "final episode" feeling, though that scene with haru, shizuku and the firefly was nice. Too bad the romance thing didn't go anywhere, it's going so slow, it would easily be overtaken by even the laziest continental drift. | That wasn't really a 'final episode' imo. No conclusion, and nothing was wrapped up as far as characters go. 8/10 still but maybe the OVA will answer things and maybe we'll get a season 2. |

| What the hell kind of ending was this? Ah geez... If there's no second season, off to the manga. Takuan_Soho said: Lovely ending to the season, ended exactly how it began, showing that this isn't a traditional romance, but actually is a slice of life show about kids growing up. Like the small steps it takes, where the journey is more important than the goal. Good point though. |

| I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. :3 I like that they left it open for a second season. I would really like to learn more about each character! lol. And watch there relationships develop. Otherwise, I'll probably give the manga a try. Overall, gave this season a 7/10. |

| Nice ending, I like it :) it felt a little sad though, I ewish they would've hugged or something, I kinda felt the distance between them has grown which is too bad :( Ohh well, Shizuku and Haru will figure it all out, they just need a little more time ^^ Enjoyable anime, little frustrating there wasn't as much romance as expected but in the end still a nice anime. 8/10 ^^ |
