According to Digital Manga Inc President, Hikaru Sasahara, the company will halt all physical publishing for the DMP, June Manga, DokiDoki, and 801Media imprints for six months starting January 1, 2013. This will be a temporary measure as they coordinate they production schedule for the next year and focus on their digital publications. The titles will resume publishing in June of 2013.

A number of titles are affected by this, including the titles from the most recent DMP Kickstarter.

The titles affected are:

That's kinda shitty. Oh well it happens. Patience is a virtue. Shame Triton Volume 2 is delayed till 2014, but I can wait, my backlogs big enough as it is.

Never heard of a single one of these.
My Twitter
My Tumblr - Anime Blogging on current airing season as I watch them.
My deviantArt - Anime FanArts.

Please leave replies on my profile page, as I am unlikely to see them otherwise. Thanks.

I'm sad I'll have to wait even longer for Unico, Atom Cat, and Triton. The most I ever spend on a Kickstarter. I guess it will be even more of a surprise when they arrive.

That's not a surprise considering it's almost all yaoi.

Great.
I hope at least Usotsuki wa Shinshi no Hajimari will be published with decent translation and uncensored after the wait.

Sorry, I really didn't want to re-type everything.

DMP does now run Yaoi-Con and they have many, many more yaoi titles coming out digitally. I'd say yaoi fans are a smaller but strong group of sub-fandom, with a lot of buying power.

Itazura na Kiss is the only one of those I read, but I haven't bought any of the volumes past 3, so I think I'm good.

Well, that would explain it then. Nothing I'm going to miss then. That's good for me; bad for those that like them.

I never knew that Unico and Triton were yaoi. I was not aware of that....

Well some companies have certain niches to cater to.

About half are BL, not all...

Going through the pages I've only read 2... and I know maybe 2 other titles. Never heard of most of these though.

Too bad. A few titles interested me. :(

NO. No one has ever released ItaKiss in the US until DMI licensed it, but they licensed the Japanese rerelease. though they have the weirdest system of just licensing volume per volume rather than the whole series (i'm not even sure if volume 12 has been licensed yet).

I was about to order volume 9 of ItaKiss. Oh well, DMI just happens to not want my money for over a year.

Guess I better pick up Viewfinder 6 sooner rather than later....

With the way Manga companies are going DMI may go digital only before all of those are released physically. >_>

I was so looking forward to more volumes of Alice the 101st. :( Oh, well. As long as they don't go out of business, I don't mind waiting.
