YAY FOR Haikyuu! Those are really strong sales for a volume 3's first week! Here's hoping it'll become the next Kuroko! :D

Suki Desu is doing really well. I didn't like it mainly because of the protagonist but otherwise it was really good so, I'm happy.

KuroBas close to 530k! O_O The power of fangirls can be stunning.

And, ah yes.....Magi. =) It was bound to happen. One episode in and the fangirls are already buying volumes 1-3 and 14. Volume 14 close to 200k already. I wonder how future episodes would do.

Mairunovich selling well too, I'm glad. So Hagure Yuusha and KC didn't go above 50k huh......so I guess its not THAT much of a boost. :(

Oh and um:

Migawari Hakushaku no Konzen Ryoko Vol.3

O_O Wha-? Its been a while since I saw a new fujoshi themed original LN selling so well.

Magi getting a nice boost from its anime by the looks of it, even though it only started airing on the 7th.

Shinsekai yori on the light novel list too.

This was the week of my last order from Japan but the only thing on there that I bought was the new kokoro connect light novel.
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

It's the continuation of the manga that recently concluded where Yui and the others are in university.

They don't like vol9, Alicization Beginning huh. Been two week that it's gone from the top. Still 8 volumes selling consistently. Should be glad about that.
Guess we'll have to wait next week for Progressive and NT5, they just got released last Wed and didn't make it in this list. NT5 will surely sell more but SAO's popularity is high at the moment.
And I want to read that Kuroko LN.

You don't know the sequel to K-On manga?
There will be K-ON! High School coming too.

*6, *28,067 *28,067 To LOVE-Ru Darkness Illustration Book Venus
*7, *22,533 *33,774 Magi Official Guidebook

They are not light novels though..... But perhaps I shouldn't care, because it is good to know how many ToLoveRu art book sold....
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

I think Magi's sales increase is from advertisement and pre-hype for the anime since the list is for Oct 1st-7th and Magi episode 1 aired on Oct 7.

I can't wait to see how much it increases as more and more episode gets released (hopefully pulls off a Kuroko).

All I care about on this list is Conan and Thermae Romae

Baka Test 3 will probably never come out. IDK why this LN is so popular but the anime ended up selling like crap, and the second season was un-funny as well.

In the cases of Haruhi... Both the anime and the LN sold astronomically, which is likely the reason the author is being such a LAZYASS, almost on the level of the High School of the Dead Mangaka

-_\\\. Are you kidding me? The sales were twice less as for S1 but calling them "like crap" is too much. Most of the anime series have less sales. 4K average is normal and enough for making a sequel. ANd you make me facepalm. It was as funny as S1. People like you just hate that they add some real romance vibes instead of silly harem comedy.

Yeah, they added some romance vibes. And killed them completely next episode. If they were trying to go down the romance route, they should have the balls to continue, not bail out and preserve status quo in stupid manner. Also, some episodes in first half weren't too funny. Shouko and Himeji got extremely repetitive with their gags. Kudou was trying to save the series but there wasn't enough of her.
Second season was bad.
Main reasons:
Overuse of the same gags which caused them to get old quite quickly and episodes weren't as funny as in first season.
Making fans believe there is a place for romance and then slapping them in the face.

If it was first season that sold 4k, second one could be possible. When first season sold well and second did much worse, it's pretty obvious that third season wouldn't sell 4k but more like 2k.

BakaTest is one example of adaptation went wrong. Given the huge popularity of the LN (voted best LN and the characters voted in high places in survey after survey) the sales of the anime is truly disappointing for the latest season.

I just hope this will not be the case for Haganai....

Tastes differ. I still found S2 as good as first one. And episode about Shouko's and Yuji's past is my favorite(maybe because of Ef vibes in it's storytelling and visuals)

What I said about romance is a fact though. Spending few episodes on romantic development and then simply cancelling it with no sensible reason isn't something good.
If anything, talk about differing tastes applies to you - after all, who was the one facepalming that someone didn't like second season?
