| First exposure to the Jojo franchise and I must say: Dio is suchhhhhhh a dickkkkkkkkkk. Love the show though, hope this remake (though I haven't seen any of the previous animes/ovas) is as good as the 2011 HunterxHunter remake, and so far, even though I've only seen the first episode, I don't have a feeling that I'm going to be dissapointed very soon; From that very first scene, I don't know why, but I was immediately hooked, which rarely happens with most animes for me. |
| It's not popularity that is deciding it, it's consensus. And yes, when large amounts of people agree that something is good then it is good, at least within that particular grouping. Inside the teenage girl group Twilight=good. Sales and other metrics support that. Outside of that group Twilight=crap. There's no hard evidence other than a ton of opinion. |

Most people don't feel the need to explicitly state that something is their opinion because they figure most people will realize what they're saying is an opinion. If I say, "Blackberry pie is the best," I'm assuming people are smart enough to know that I'm not claiming that as a fact, but rather there's a silent "in my opinion" included somewhere in there. |

| I haven't read this manga or watched the earlier OVA, but I have to say the story is pretty cool. The way they animate it is kind of new and also somewhat old fashioned (not necessarily in a bad way), and it takes some getting used to. |

| Well that was a good first episode. I am impressed with the adaptation so far - they are moving through the manga material quickly and they are doing it well. In fact, I liked this episode better than the corresponding chapters. Though, regardless of the medium he is presented in, Dio is still a major bastard. Also, I was very pleasantly surprised to hear Yes' "Roundabout" as the ED. Good stuff. |

The question is if you enjoyed it. I find this crazyness entertaining. |

Dio is a straight asshole. There is no reason for someone to conjure up that much hatred for another. I feel so bad for Jojo and Erina, girl it was only a kiss. I mean seriously :/ she could have walked it off I like it so far, definitely unique, lets see what happens next after this time skip. |
