| Have to say despite Phantom Blood being my least favourite in the Jojo series, this episode was brilliant; the voices were perfect, the art style and use of colour are just like Araki's (never was a fan of the over muscled style seen in the earlier parts) and it was over the top without being silly. The only criticism is that the pace might have been a bit fast paced for those unfamiliar with the series and some of the manga sound effect moments were a bit excessive. I can't wait till they move onto Battle Tendency and when the Stands are introduced \m/. Also: Part 4>Part 7>Part 6>Part 5>Part 3>Part 2>Part 1 I'd include Part 8 on my list, but its too early to give it a definite spot. |

| Just watched first episode. Been wanting to get into the series for a while, BUT the shipping is terrible on the first/second volume of the (English) manga (Yes I'm aware it not the first part). Though back on topic this was an awesome episode!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew Dio was meant to be an excellent villain but never expected just how much of a bastard he be... |

| This was great. It had a very similar feel to the manga, the art is great and it really had a nice overall old school-vibe to it. The pacing was real fast but didn't make it hard to follow and it's a shonen show after all so no complaints from me there. I, for one, really like the first arc. Sure the story is not that good, but I like how JoJo is such a good person and Dio so completely evil. It's a total cliche, but very well done in the manga, and the anime doesn't seem to be any worse from what I've seen, which in my experience is pretty rare. Definitely following this, hope they animate up to the third arc : > |

WHY T____T I'd imagine that's only for, like, parts 1 & 2; they've gotta tread the waters here, to see how successful this is -- if it's a runaway hit, we can expect the rest of the parts to be adapted (and with a nice budget, if it does well enough). But yeah, at the current rate they're going, As Vorlianis said, they probably wouldn't have made that promotional teaser for ALL the parts unless they had the intention of adapting the whole thing. |

For all you know, that teaser MAY not be specifically advertising the anime but more about the manga in general, just that they are 'also' adapting an anime. However, I'm sure they have a game plan for more afterwards if, again, it's a success -- it'd be odd to just do parts 1 & 2, and simply leave it there (though I suppose you could have these two to simply serve as a prequel to the part 3 OVAs, from an animation standpoint, though that's a stretch, to say the least). As for what we can expect, the hardcore Jojo fanbase in Japan is rabid, but outside of manga, it's hard to say how well this'll perform; I'm certain the dedicated fanbase will be a substantial factor, though. |

| I can't say i enjoyed this.... was laughing through most of the ridiculousness and the fight. I got used to the art style (sort of), but Dio is such an ass, which i understand is the point, but watching JoJo was painful as well. This was good up until Dio started messing with Jojo, then Jojo and Dio got on my nerves, along with Dio's groupies. |
| The only anime I'm following this season and it does not disappoint so far. Though, having seen the first anime, I find this episode extremely depressing. Still good, though. |
