| Over a decade ago, I saw the clip of the third scene between Ikkou and Kazuki out of context. I always assumed it was some hentai, and never realized it was Ah My Buddha. I've only just remembered that clip after watching this episode. Go figure. Also, holy crap, that ending was a drastic leap in tone. Suddenly things actually got violent? I suppose I should have noticed that in the first episode of the second season, where Chitose dramatically slapping Ikkou near the end seemed oddly realistic and painful, at least compared to the comedic strikes prior in the series. I didn't think much of it at the time, but seeing as there's apparently some dark power in Hinata, I guess the series wants to actually pursue its plot now. |
