Holo is the single greatest female character I've ever seen in any media.
If it has to be from an anime that'd classify as DnB it'd have to be Lucy.
Now that I've been watching Mirai Nikki, I freaking love Yuno. Holo still wins though.

I love Saeko Bushijima from HOTD and Balalaika from Black Lagoon. Saeko knows how to use a sword and Balalaika is a badass bitch with a army skilled enough to win WWIII :D

My opinions regarding the characters of the poll:
Seras Victoria was more of a badass who fell into the role (after being turned);
Clare/Tereasa while indeed portrayed as quite a strong and competent female character, she lacked a sort of charm to me;
Lucy's character came off as a woman scorned due to a misunderstanding, and it encouraged her badass killing-machine rampage;
Misa was a bit underwhelming compared to Yuno, I'm also not big on 'super star/famous' characters;

Yuno being a yandere, manifests the traits I like: the will to commit atrocious deeds for the sake of her lover (eliminating whoever stood in the way), was competent at it being only human (as evident that she survived the first game), and her devotion (wanting to keep restarting the game).

Its hard choice.

For most badass female character i would go for Yomi (Ga-Rei:Zero), Akame, Mikasa or Ein from Phantom.
But i guess my favourite female characters are Holo and Sanae
