DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The whole thing about the painter's customers not being satisfied with a completely accurate portrait is kind of weird since every character has a standardized shoujo anime level of cuteness. Not exactly many human imperfections around. |
| I remember reading something once about how, when watching something where everyone is attractive (for example, a Hollywood movie with gorgeous stars) the way to tell how they would actually look IRL is shown by how other characters react to them. For this reason, I think that Usagi is actually very fat as opposed to her skinny character design, but that's just my opinion. Anyway, I wish they had got more into why the artist had lost his dream. It seemed like there was more going on. Oh well. |

I think the lost dream they were referring to was when he drew an inaccurate picture for money. Surprisingly touching ending there. I wasn't expecting that from Chibiusa, if I'm being perfectly honest. |
