| Both semi-finals are now over and we finally know the finalists for Saturday! I'll make the grading sheet later when I'm at home, but for now you can already see the 27 finalists here. There are some countries that didn't make it through the semi-finals which surprised me a bit... Netherlands (they were 2nd place last year), Finnland (nooo, they often have good songs ;_;) and Iceland (NO NO NOOOOOOO I wanted another great song from Iceland!!!!!) I didn't hear their songs so maybe they were just not good, but yeah... Edit: I listened to these three songs now. Netherlands: It's okay but nothing special... Iceland: Also okay but nothing special... Finnland: Uh... death metal? Not really the kind of metal I like. Lordi was better :D |

I was so disappointed when I saw they did not pass, though I wasn't surprised. From all the performances I have seen this year they were definitely the most unique and memorable. I have already huge respect towards them since by participating to Eurovision they have already promoted greatly the issues that people with disabilities and different kinds of syndromes are having in our country. Unlike those plastic ballads that 99% of the Eurovision songs are this year, PKN's song really had a purpose and meaning. |

| That's punk? Hmm I've never listened to this genre. I didn't know the song had this purpose and meaning (just watched a video, there was no explanation), but that's really great then. I like it when songs actually do have a meaning instead of just the same standard blah blah boring song with "sexy" girls like so many others... And yes, they deserve a lot of respect for this. |

| So many low scores from others ^^ I think I was pretty generous this time. Actually most of the songs weren't terribly bad for me. Which is a bit bad because the bad songs are the ones that make the event even more fun :P My scores: I liked Serbia best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJrJVsOQwEc then Sweden: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoO1V_eOEPA and Norway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1td70yaoS8 and Italy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TEpHTVWXnM I was a bit surprised that Germany got zero points... yeah the song wasn't great but I found there were others that were worse like the one who didn't even hit the correct notes. |

| Ended up watching it with someone else this year, so I didn't pay much attention to IRC. But I was there, being even more quiet than usual. Anyhow, here are my scores: There were some pretty good songs this year, I actually really liked Norway and Cyprus. Was a bit lacking in funny songs though... Also YEAH SWEDEN |

| I'm surprised too, I think the nice acoustic guitars did it for me. |
| Didn't make score notes while watching and since I don't remember much out of most songs (feels like all of them were ballads and love songs this year), I can't post my scores, but Latvia was my favorite. Also liked Serbia's songs catchy chorus and Estonia was okay too. Simulwatch was really nice though and made watching the show that much more enjoyable! :) |
