I may be missing something , isn't Muv-Luv alternative a parallel world of some sort of the original Muv-Luv?
I was hoping they made an anime of Muv-Luv 1st.

I think people who talk about an Evangelion like don't know that Muv-Luv Alternative was an excellent Visual Novel , probably one of the best for me .

Unlikely to ever happen considering the pace and style of the series. It would never translate properly into an anime format, though Total Eclipse works since it's a spin-off of the franchise.

Eh, why not...I'll go watch this when I'm at the convention, provided I'm not lost somewhere in the exhibition hall.

Don't know about Total Eclipse, but Muv-Luv Alternative itself is actually incredibly well regarded for it's well thought out plot. Or so I hear, I haven't read it yet and am not about to bash something I haven't read or seen in TE's case.

MLA is 50 hours of adrenaline and tears. And yet, the plot is nothing too unique. Aliens attacking, humanity fighting back with mechs, etc. It's the characters and the emotional impact they leave on the reader that makes it special. Well, that and the entire VN was designed from the start to be as cinematic as possible. They wanted to push the limits of the medium and they did a fantastic job of it.

Haven't read Total Eclipse either so no clue about it. Word is it's definitely not as good though.

if it's not as good i guess that's why it gets to be animated hahaha they don't want the good muv luv stories to be ruined like many other vn adaptations >.>

Saw this at Anime Expo and premiered two episodes including performances from Kumi Koda and Minami Kuribayash and the Original creator: Kouki Yoshimune.

From my first impressions without saying much is that it looked pretty good. I would recommend this anime. Can't wait for episode 3 already.
