Good episode, we've learned a lot about Jonah and a tiny bit about Koko at the end.

I was suprised that she has a brother, Casper's whole appearance reminds me of Joker from one of the older Batman series, anyone else? Casper will definitely come back later, I wonder how different he is from Koko.

Chiquita is scary as hell, face off between her and Velmet has to happen and there is still Mildred!

What's really bad in the show is that Koko's the only "odd one out" out of the arms dealers shown. If that were the case there would always be war in the world already, and that would mean there won't be any world to have a story in.

Casper=amazinggg. I love characters that are a little insane (maybe he is more than a little). Finding about Jonah didn't surprise me, afterall there was all that not so subtle foreshadowing.

Well, we haven't seen much of other arms dealers. What we saw of Casper could be explained in that he was just trying to piss off/scare Jonah. He didn't have to necessarily mean everything he said. Possibly, he was talking truth about the road but we don't know what he intended to use it for for sure.
Besides, there IS always some kind of war in the world. Just because you don't have them all over the news (=just because USA doesn't interfere all the time) doesn't mean it's not there. Not to mention that there are many criminals that have illegal weapons and they have to get them from somewhere.

Very nice episode, we finally learned Jonah's past and about the one he wants to kill. Although, Casper's attitude makes me question if he was truly speaking truth when he told him about his town. I mean, they didn't have Jonah in records what means he had no way of finding out where he was born. However, Casper could have asked the kids about Jonah so they might have told him about his goal and he simply used it. I doubt Jonah told the kids where he was born, I don't think it mattered at that point but they could have persuaded him into saying what happened. Anyway, I wonder how it will turn out with Casper. Jonah probably won't kill him, Koko seemed to have a close relationship with him and it would complicate stuff way too much.

I’m no expert about landmine politics, but I find it odd that they used the orphans to clear the minefield. First, you only have four kids so I doubt you could keep it up for any extended amount of time. From my understanding, many of the injuries that are caused by landmines are from people trying to disarm them so they can sell them, you can see that in movies like Turtles can Fly. If the military paid money for each land picked up, then I’m sure they would have a bunch of willing locals to clear the mines for them. Regardless, what they showed in the anime does make for an awesome back-story.

Good episode. I've been interested Jonah's story and the reason behind his seemingly contradictory actions. He's always been no more important than the other soldiers, while getting main character treatment. It's nice to see him get some attention.

And those women's faces.
I can't wait to see how he will react again to Kasper. Now we know that his hatred is towards him.

Oh, and it's a good thing that a**hat Orchestra is dead. That's one psycho nutjob.

It would be a really interesting turn of events if Jonah-kun one day managed to kill Kasper, I'm hoping for it! I like the bodyguard chick though. Poor Jonah-kun, really unlucky kid. Glad he got some revenge, it was somewhat satisfying. 4/5.

Nice with some backstory for Jonah. I actually really like Koko and his interactions, they're always fun because of Jonah's embarrassed reactions. And Caspar seems like a ruthless jerk, but I like him anyway!

It's been a while since I've watched this ... some new charas! Kasper is quite interesting (and yeah his voice is different from what I expected too :P). Got to see his past with Jonah ... so that's how he got sent to Koko huh? He's quite blunt but I kinda like that XD Must've been rough for Jonah ... killing everyone in the base just to get to that one guy O_O Didn't really expect them to focus so much on his past. Kasper straight up admitted he sold the weapons that killed Jonah's parents ... no wonder he was so angry when he saw him in the washroom XD
Anyway, seems like we're gonna get a new arc started next episode :3

now the hat makes sense in the OP :P

huh, they're going to africa to meet the chinese. that's actually a true story, you know, the chinese living in africa. they make up a small bit, of course, but still i was impressed with that show of knowledge.

what a bunch of morons, you expect to take these children and expect NONE of them to rebel?

also the hatred of casper i really don't understand that much since i - again - don't understand what the purpose of the base was to him.

that jonah boy...his story was really sad to look at. i felt really bad for him when he wept on the floor. the whole music was perfect for the flashback, and i know i've said it before but this OST really does ring of taku's work.

also why doesn't he hate koko nearly as much as casper? they're one and the same, basically.

so his full name is jonathan. i thought they kept calling him "jonah-san" LOL

Very good episode. Koko's brother Kasper is introduced and Jonah's backstory was revealed, surrounding how they both met and how Jonah was sent to become a bodyguard of Kasper's sister in the present time. Pretty rough time Jonah had, and the incident with him and Kasper was only three months ago too so he recently only was involved with murdering everyone in a base because one of the four orphans he bonded with was used as a sacrifice to clear a path filled with land mines, and also nearly starving to death when being locked in a container for days after meeting Kasper and Chiquita, just to 'know his place' in a sense. At least Jonah was sent to Koko, who is far more compassionate for Jonah and Jonah seems happier around Koko despite his hatred for violence and weapons, and the other three orphans seem to be safe and living their lives in Japan too.

Also, Koko screaming "FUCK MY LIFE!" in the dubbed version after hearing about Kasper being there was class I can't lie.

Oh man, you can help but laugh at the contradiction. Jonah hates guns more than anything in the world yet with a gun in his hand he is unstoppable, even if his psyche is that of a young boy as long as he has the strength to pull a trigger on a gun there is no stopping him. He single handedly took out a base full of trained soldiers by himself...
