| I don't think so. For example, I started watching Fate/Zero with absolutely no knowledge about the Fate universe. And right now, I'm watching Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to iu Onna without ever seeing any of the other Lupin III series. I think as long as they are spin-offs and not direct sequels it's fine. |

| You don't have to do anything in this life but die. Watching the main story before side stories/direct sequels is always more help than coming in with no attachment to the characters. In the case of Blood-C, it is not a side story or sequel to Blood+. The only similarity is having a chick named Saya kill stuff with a sword. The question is can you tell the difference between a remake vs a sequel. |

| Watch Blood+ and skip Blood C. Its more like an alternate setting for now but we'll see when the movie comes out if its connected in some way. |
