Things are finally going somewhere, but man did it feel really slow. There was not as much action that i thought there would be. But next episode seems good especially since it looks like Colbert is stepping in.

They kind of make it obvious that hes the fire snake. He keeps saying war is hell, name of the episode is atonement, hes a fire mage, Louise says omg colbert is... in the preview.. They aren't very subtle. Its nice they advance the plot a little more. Not much room for laughs though. Gotta have a nice Louise caused explosion though, Saito had the key, he could've just opened the door.

What a cliffhanger. It seems they're lazier with fighting animation lately. Anies just need to kick more butts and what happened with Louise and Saito's awesome teamwork from episode 2?

This is episode 8 already, so this might be the beginning of the climax. Looking forward to next week.

Damn cliff hangers! Action is finaly coming in, shame theyre only making 13 episodes (again). I agree there should be a 3rd season! Would be so awesome but dont make us fans wait as long this time.
@Legion17 : It wouldnt be an episode without a Louise explosion!

Umm.. fortunatelly Kyuruke and Tabasa are back.. if not, that would be worst episode of this season. After watching fights in Bleach, that ones in this episode looks just ugly for me. Another kind of anime you say. Maybe. Anyway, first season of ZnT was much better and much more interesting for me. Had that tip of mistery.. and now.. hmm. My note goes down, from 9 to 8. Let's see what brings the future :)

Maybe not the most exciting episode, but it had plenty of Agnes, so it can be forgiven.
Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes:

Wohoo, some plot with multiple episodes necessary to complete. this episode was pretty good, and it was good to see Tabitha and Kirche, they haven't gotten much screentime in this season.

I don't really get Saito anymore...
Why after he has confessed his love for Louise, is he drooling after every single girl he sees?
I mean, it was OK in the first season, since they weren't yet together, but now... it is just...

I partly agree with presst_moded, the first season ended well - they beat the bad guys, Saito and Louise got together... I just don't see what more there can be done about their relationship? After they each said they love each other everything else seems forced. They are supposed to love each other, even if they can't really admit it openly, but how do they act? Just like in the first part of the first season...

Yeah, that's quite a refreshing change^^

But really, this episode was great. Plot seems to be picking up and it seems Tabitha and Kirche will be getting some more screentime. (Yeah!) One thing I disliked, however, was the fighting animation in this episode, which seemed just lazy. Meh...

The psychopathic arsonist is loose...a convenient villain to blame the massacre at the village on, but the real evil comes from the Captain who was only following orders. True in anime, true everywhere.

Ah they didn't put up much of a fight and even the Musketeer Force became just cannon fodder. I was wishing for the old Principal to be awesome mighty wizard in this episode but it didn't happen. X(

How did 8 fire mages capture everyone including Louise's sisters and the Headmaster. The headmaster alone could have easily beaten them... -.-

Was expecting the villains to be beating the hostages who talked back, but I guess it wouldn't be suitable for something rated for teens :/

LOL those awful action scenes, so much delay. The villain actually took aim at their guns and sword? Wtf seriously? He could've just killed them easily.

Also, the musketeer group can protect the queen... Ridiculous, the queen's basically asking to get assassinated. I bet those group of griffin mages that got killed in one hit at the end of season one would be a better replacement.

Really slow episode. Even the action seemed to be in slowmotion...

Anyway, can't they make it more obvious that the sensei was the leader?

The Tristain musketeers really suck at negociation xD
And at leading an assault :P
They were clearly inferior in term of power. They shouldn't have run in head first.

I find it kinda hilarious that after all Saito did, he's still reconized as a commoner. He literally saved the whole country by not going back to his world...

Looks like Sensei is not a normal sensei in a "normal magical academy" .
Captain obvious apparently ~ .

So much for magic being ineffective in combat. Took out your guns and Agnes's sword before she could do anything. I guess thats karma. The other thing is that they were able to take control of the academy really quickly. You would think that if they are protecting the school the Musketeer Force would be defending the students more. And since its a magic academy I would think they would have a security field magic protecting the school, especially if they country is at was. Honestly, think a little and up your defenses.

Looks like Colbert's true identity will be revealed next episode. Poor Guards, they just got easily taken out by professional assassins.
