| been wanting to see this for 3 years now. it seems interesting enough. although the MC looks like a boy...>.> if it wasn't for the VC and her wearing skirts i would totally think she was, and even then during the episode i had to remind myself. i'm also sensing some (unrequited?) yuri going on there, or maybe the eye-girl is too much of a fanatic for her boss. if it's yuri i will be disappointed. the OP was really great! i usually expect the 1st OP to be meh but i really liked it. but the one that really caught me was the ED. that thing is gorgeous (and...mature, in a way). i can't believe how underrated it is to the OP. it's around the same quality of not much better. also my brother thought it looked a lot like stiens gate and i agreed, and turns out we were right on predicting the company who did this :P also WTHECK is going on with this song reference????? never heard it what are they talking about it's part of the episode???? |

| That was a very good first episode. I'm already in love with Koko. She can be a cutie and a badass at the same time. Ugh. :3 I love the action scenes and this is the type of first episode I want for an action anime, and not throwing a lot of characters all at once. Damn. I fucking love the OST, too. | HER NAME IS KOKO, SHE IS LOCO, I SAID OH NO! Man I missed this so much. Rewatching Jormungand, been a few years since I've seen it but I've been wanting to see it again for a while now. And the first episode was pretty exciting and fun as a whole. The premise isn't laid out clearly in terms of what exactly is going to happen (except the vague objective about Koko wanting world peace while dealing weapons) but from this episode, we meet Koko Hekmatyar, a badass arms dealer and her crew, and a child soldier called Jonah who joins her despite his hatred of weapons in the first place. I loved the music in this show and the action felt fun to watch even if the visuals aren't the greatest from White Fox except some of the cuts focused on gunfire and explosions (and some close ups too of a bleeding Koko being damn intimidating to look at). Given how I'm a massive Black Lagoon fan and how action shows like these are surprisingly rare in the anime medium, Jormungand won me really easily initially and the same goes for now too. P.S: Koko Hekmatyar rules. Definitely one of my favorite female characters out there just from pure personality and ruthlessness alone. Can't wait to see more of her in this watch. |
