The animation sucks... or at least I don't like it. Character designs are great, that big guy in the last episode, the one in the first and now Neon... Of course Vash too. |

| Was that 3 moons in the sky o.o? I guess this isn't earth. Decent ep, kids kind of a douche helping those bandits did result in quite a few deaths and yet all he cares about is the ship. Looking forward to some action next ep between Vash and giant shoulder pads guy. |

| Perhaps Kaite's father was kidnapped and held as a hostage by the Bad Lad Gang, which was why he initially chose to aid them. Though that would not have been the simplest method, as they could have then used his father to get to the loot within the sand steamer. I am really just grasping at straws here by trying to come up with reasons for the kid to be less unlikeable than he already is. It was a shame that Elizabeth could not travel together with Vash on the sand steamer, though I suppose she had to remain in Inepril City to further repair the broken-down plants. Even with her seemingly important place in the story regarding to our protagonist's past and his loss of memory, she might be just a random one-off character within the series. |

| I'm surprised by the level of apathy towards this episode. Trigun is a homage to the westerns of yesteryear and is at it's best when it's about tough men behaving stupidly. It isn't trying to be a complex character study, especially since Vash's backstory is so greatly overexaggerated to begin with. Out of all the episodes I've seen so far, the mere setup for this one had me grinning from ear to ear. I love two-parter episodes, and I can't wait to see how Vash comes out on top in this situation. |

| It looks like Vash actually prefers the drifter life that somehow gives him some peace and quiet at times but trouble continues to follow him around wherever he goes. This was the first time that I've seen someone get killed on-screen in this anime and I have a feeling that this would be a much more common occurence here on out. |
