| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The start of the episode was pretty emotional with the dream and Lina thinking about her relationship with Gaurry. Sylphiel finally makes an appearance, so her being in the opening seems justifiable. And Hellmaster is doing his sick games again. What if Lina would have been killed by Gourry? He was pretty close too before Zangolus(correct spelling?) came along. Maybe he saw Zangolus coming and didn't interfere or maybe he has an off-switch for the sword of light now. But damn Hellmaster really did power Gaurry up. He took everything they threw at him and gave them all back. I bet Gaav would have been in real trouble if Gaurry would have been this powerful before. |
| That first part was a lot sadder than we're used to in Slayers, but it was handled well. Even Martina was treading softly around Lina's feelings. I've just raised my rating on this show again--the second season really has been better than the first. |

| Huh. I guess Gourry still hasn’t mastered the Sword of Light yet if he was able to power it up this much more when mind controlled. He even managed to match the Ragna Blade with it, which is nothing short of incredible. I guess the legend of Zanaffar being slain with the Sword of Light makes more sense in this context, if it can do that much even without absorbing a spell. It would be cool if Gourry could get better with it like that. The start of the episode was great, of course. Sylphiel being back is great too. Zangalus returning was definitely a surprise though. |
| Damn, this is quite the tough situation for Lina. Although I'm not a big fan of this season compared to the first one, I still gotta appreciate Linas characterisation and development. |

| Hey Sylphiel's back...and Zangulus too! Gourry's obviously being held under Compulsion though it seems he still had very, very short moments of resisting/remembering who Lina is. |

| A random Sylphiel and Zangulus appear in the last few episodes, feels like fanservice to me. So you're telling me the dude who's as tall as Gourry, has Gourry's sword and blonde hair like Gourry is actually Gourry???? Mind = blown |
