| "What is normal again?" - This is actually a good question, a question that can be applied to oneself. Is Punpun's situation at home normal? PRobably not even though he is somehow used to it. Still, he is afraid to be different and eventually lies about his future dreams trying to appear ordinary. The grotesque behaviour of the teacher and the principal represent an attitude that opposes it and seems to ridicule Punpun's fears. |

| yeah im definitely thinking that a lot of the imagery/adult designs and actions are exaggerated (or even possibly imagined?) based on punpuns feelings and anxieties about the world due to his unhealthy upbringing. |
