okay... so all the azumanga characters are pretty different to each other and lets face it, some characters were totally awesome and others... well just kind of became annoying. So. who was the most annoying character in the series? |

| I can truthfully say that I find none of the characters annoying at all. This is a big part of what makes Azumanga Daioh so special. The dub doesn't count. The dub should be erased from existence. X( |
| I found Tomo annoying after a while. She was fine in the beginning, but after a while it just got old... I just wish she had developed as a character even a little bit. :x |

| dont get me wrong. i love azumanga daioh, i even spent $90+ to buy it, but there were times in the show when i just wished osaka would shut up. especially in the dubs! |

| I watched about 3 minutes of the dub..and wow. The original is so much better. As for annoyances, Yomi spoils a lot of the fun, and Tomo is sometimes just annoying. |

| i found tomo really annoying, chiyo's voice sometimes was annoying, but later it was cute xD, and yeah, yomi was a party pooper all the time, i like the most the episodes when osaka was just being herself, if there were an anime with just osaka, that would be my fav serie xD |
| I'm sort of baffled as to how Osaka has become a fan favorite. None of the characters were all that annoying for me (aside from maybe Tomo, but I think that was the point.. she's supposed to be annoying), yet I did find her tangents occasionally tiresome, and a few Osaka-focused jokes would drag longer than necessary (sort of reminding me of the way Family Guy tends to overdo things, but with much less frequency, thankfully). I watched the sub, btw. The few minutes of the dub I saw were more than enough (yes, Osaka's VA was.. too much, and I'm from the South). I, on the other hand, wouldn't mind an anime centered on Sakaki. Definitely the most most likable and sympathetic character for me. The cat biting was probably overdone as well, but I quite like both Sakaki and cats, and thus found it funny and cute.. Yes, I'm a hypocrite. Okay, let's try something all the kids are doing nowadays.. TL;DR version: Osaka is mildly annoying, Sakaki made the show. Less Osaka and more Sakaki and I might have rated it a 10. |

| Tomo could definitely be annoying, but that was her character and her appeal. Someone had to be COMPLETELY over the top (besides Yukari), and she was the one to do it. She's definitely not the most annoying female character I've come across though. Those go hands down to Akane (Ranma 1/2), Kanami (FMP) & Flay (Gundam SEED). Compared to those characters, I could live with a lil' Tomo. P.S. I LOVE the dub, or the sub. I could watch in japanese w/ no subs I love it so much. |

| When I was watching the anime (now quite a while ago) I found Tomo to be the most annoying, but not to the point I would hate her or anything. I just finished reading the manga thou and after I finished it I was thinking that in the whole manga Tomo didn't bother me even once. Even better, most of the time I really laughed out loud where with jokes involving her! |

| I loved every single bit of Azumanga and everyone of its characters. Tomo is supposed to be annoying, that's the kind of character she is and so i think she was one of the better characters of the series. If you watched the english dub and found Osaka's voice annoying then that's your own god damn fault. Sometimes I felt like punching Chiyo in the face just because i could not stand her cuteness! But that doesn't count as annoying just overly successful. In the end of it all, if we would be allowed to rate characters as well (hmm there's a thought!).. i would rate every Azumanga character including minor ones, with an 8/10 at least and some of the leading characters with a 10/10 |
