woah crap, its official, shingo and miu are the ending couple, i was expecting some kind of spin off where sana and/or airi confess to shingo, but it didn't happen and im glad it didn't and it ended peacefully where they remained true friends until the end and kept their dignity

what i wasn't expecting was the part at the end O_O im glad they didn't ruin this anime with a visual hentai sex scene, but they implied it so much that even an idiot could understand what was going on,
i mean come on, their were so many implications

i gotta give they director some credit for making it as clear as possible, so that even the most thick headed person could understand and no one could deny what has happened

Shingo x Miu... In a Harem show? Nice job, of breaking the mould Shingo; of the regular sucky piece of crap Harem Male character. I want to see next week the last episode but I wonder if... they break the school up, what happens to Miu x Shingo? Could Airi be the cause of it? --- Randy

im glad it didn't turn out to be harem, im so sick of those harem endings where its undecided or they all just share the guy, this anime is proof that a harem ending isn't always the best ending and you can make a perfectly good ending without a harem

At this point, I want to see a hentai OVA version of this show.

Hell, that's what "Princess Lover" did.
And, that was the ONLY thing that saved me after watch THAT series!!
But if they did that, he'd need to go SUPER-PIMPIN' in that one!!!
(Either that or go all BAD END like most hentai.)

Yeah...I watch hentai!

I am not pleased with the ending we got. I very rarely care in these seemingly generic VN adaptations but this one I really enjoyed and I hate to see it end this way. Oh well...I guess that's that. Bravo to Manglobe for implying something though...I didn't think we'd get that in this show.

However, it did bring back the fun of a good shipping war. It's been quite a while since I've cared about one of those.

Miu wasn't my first choice but it made the anime turn out better than I thought, an average VN with a slightly above average anime adaptation.

I like how last episode the discussion was all about emotion and drama and this episode has deteriorated into the last 30 seconds of assumed sex, for the most part...

But, I'm also on the lonely boat of finding more joy out of watching hugging, kissing, and "assumptions" then actually seeing sex. Given what people have said who have gone through the VN, I think they went as far as they could, given the overall tone of the show. Tasteful and got the message across...obviously.

Wish they would end the series here instead of the semi filler episode which should be an OVA instead of the finale. But, maybe it will be more than what we assume it to be. Doubt it.

This isn't exactly the deepest of characterizing shows so it makes sense that a deconstructed tsundere and the only other partially developed character interacting would be more interesting than the rest. You've seen them grow, suffer, and develop over the course of the show. Comparatively, your two romantic leads are about as well-rounded as cubes stuck in peg holes and have evolved as much in 11-episodes as a slug has progressed in crossing the Sahara, that is to say they haven't. At all.

A large part of the charm of this show, to its boon or detriment, is that its supporting cast has proven to be brilliant and the real driving force of the story. This is simply how the scenes and times were handled, with much of your first half devoted to Airi, and your second to Sana, and it is their changes that drove the plot. Your main characters, on the other hand, have remained static and their interactions are dependent on others, but not each other, to hold meaning. Shingo and Miu interacting is more or less Shingo helping female-Shingo, or Miu being helped by male-Miu. They are far too similar (read: identical) to really create any sort of interesting or contrasting dynamic which tends to grab people's attention or shake the proverbial cage to get the plot moving. Shingo and Miu together, as we saw this episode, don't really amount to much more than blushes, ass, and sex, and the actual fruit of the episode was everything else.

The cat metaphor really is accurate, aside from color they are identical.

Damn that is pretty right on when you think about it. That is one of the reasons why I was disappointed in the Miu arc getting the green light. There was a lot more development/quality time dedicated to characters like Airi and Sana. I as well found the episodes or segments focusing on, as you call, the supporting cast to be much more appealing than Shingo-Miu interaction. But to each their own I suppose.

I'm not going to ship one way or the other, but I have mixed feelings about this conclusion. Half-way through the series, I thought Miu was the cutest of the girls, and was actually hoping for a Miu ending, but the way we got there didn't feel right at all. If the producers had resolved Sana's relationship with Shingo before he declared his love for Miu, then this ending could have been a happy one, at least. Instead, we are left with the sour aftertaste of a sad conclusion to an unrequited love. :(

Turns out, Sana may have become my favorite character of this show. At least when compared to everyone else, she actually had some character development. I'm so glad that Airi was there for her when she most needed comfort, and I'm also glad that she was able to move forward after everything she went through.

I know the producers cannot aim to please everyone, but at least I wish they had handled the events properly, because, even for Miu fans, I'm sure this ending feels more sad than happy. Given the events, a Sana ending would have been the happier one.

I didn't like Sana at first, but the combination of her and Airi in this episode was just an exceptional watch. Miu x Shingo was just boring to watch, there's really nothing that interesting in that relationship personally. It's just pure lovey-dovey, that's all there is to it. A really flat relationship and not much else to it.

This episode only made me fall for Airi even harder. She was, personally, the most interesting character right from the start and to see her character possess even more depth (especially when she was trying to support Sana when no one else bothered to catch on what was happening), alongside with the rest of the female cast (save Miu) just fills me with hope that deep, fleshed-out characters can still be created and developed in such a phenomenal way.

To be fair, I'm not really angry about this ending so much more that I'm merely disappointed; I think pretty much any one of the other characters deserved that spot more than Miu and it would have been interesting to see how they would have handled that. Other than Airi, I would have been interested to see the Sakuno/Angie routes carried out but that's what the VN is for I suppose.

Last episode, please don't be screwy. End it off on a less awkward and more heart-warming tone. Please?
Will I fall in love someday? I wonder?

Easily the best episode so far.I loved to see how much Sana changed positively.

Airi really doesn't seem the same we saw in the first episode,I mean she was all over Shingo now she said that she hasn't fallen in love with anyone seems like her memories are gone away or something like that.

She distanced herself from Shingo to keep her being hurt like Sana. That's what I felt. She was interested in him, but nowhere at Sana level yet.

I guess that depends on each other's definition of moving forward. In my case, the fact that Sana was able to get back to her cheerful form and face Shingo again after what happened is definitely a good sign.

Also, I don't think that saying something like she is going to be alone forever is that serious. It was more of a on the spur of the moment kind of thing. I mean, until this point, Sana and Airi have been in an all-girls high school, so this is the first time they have fallen in love with a guy. Surely they will be able to find another important person in their lives. When I was heartbroken, I thought the same thing, and I'm sure other girls have done the same, but nothing stops us from falling in love again later on, right? ;)

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." ;)

(Actually, don't listen to this jaded, bitter old man.)

Hmm. "That scene" everyone seems to be stuck on was for me possibly the least interesting of the episode - yea, all kinds of things were implied; whatever, fill in the blank as you wish (I guess my interest in this show is different from most others). Anyway, while I would have been disappointed had Shingo went with Sana, I do definitely feel that Sana and Airi were the most interesting characters of this show and, possible new stuff in the last episode not withstanding, Sana was the best developed of all the characters. That's why I'm going to watch it again with the subtitles when I get a chance next week.

I mean in japan Sana is the fan favourite, and making Miu's route the canon end in the anime was a way to force her fans to seek out the PSP game since she is the heroine there and has no route in the original PC version. And while checking amazon's current top games...yeah JUST AS PLANNED

Venats......THANK YOU for being SPOT ON!!
The points you make are ALL of the issues I have with this series!!
Especially your point about the Shingo x Miu route not being well-rounded.
At the start of the show, both characters were enjoyably to watch.
Somehow the writers, in an attempt to re-route the show to get them together,
turned them into a cliched awkward couple that was PAINFUL to watch!!
Even the watching Miu's flirty mother's character made me want to stab my eyes out!!!
--------
In another post, I said I wanted a Hentai OVA just like the one done for "Princess Lover".
If we are lucky, the writer for that will give Shingo x Miu some emotional depth these writers refused to give them!!!

Is this how you saw his post? I found his post pointing that Shin and Miu are meant to be together perfectly. The similarities are so big that almost make them pale as characters, so when they are together, you see a perfect bland Mr. & Mrs. Plain couple.

I think it was intentional like that, Shingo being with a bland choice like Miu, while it's perfectly not wrong to do that. But Miu and Shingo being together really brought out the characteristic of Sana and Airi, and the realistic ones at that, and that's why there's a lot of people really appreciate the pairing. Not just only a cute romantic story, but also a melancholic, deep and beautiful maturation between boys and girls, and of course, that lovely friendship as well.
