| This was a nice chapter, we know Killy survived and probably completed his mission. A lot of time has passed and it seems like Killy reached the outer part of the world, we can see the space in those last pages |
| So I was comparing two different scanlations of this and noticed the two looked a little different. At first a chalked it off to being the scanners' fault, but when I came to this page: http://c.mfcdn.net/store/manga/4519/000.0/compressed/blame_2_p015.jpg http://c.mfcdn.net/store/manga/8147/01-008.0/compressed/cblame_gakuen_and_so_on_130.jpg ...it became obvious that there is two different versions of Blame!². The second version appears to be from 'Gakuen! And So On' so I'll assume that the first one was printed in Mandala. This, however, raises some questions as the earlier Mandala-version appears far more finalized then the later Gakuen!-version. (compere textures, lightning and effects like snow, blood splatter and motion blur. The Gakuen!-version also lacks the title logo on the third page.) Anyone got any idea what is going on here? Did Nihei intentionally cut down on the details (and if so; why?) or did Afternoon accidentally publish an unpolished draft in Gakuen!? |
