This will probably be one of my shortest posts about penguins:
1) too many IRL issues I had to manage last week
2) episode 21 was mostly revealing rather than questioning
But there are a couple of interesting remarks I have to post about. Simply compare thw two images in the spoiler.
Now, don't ask me what's on the pic to the right. I absolutely accidentally smashed into it while looking through someone's photos of the trip to Tokyo. The comment to the pic says that these are ?ad constructions? somewhere around the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. The very moment I saw the pic I thought about ep.21. But nobody on the net could give me an explanation what this actually is. So I'm clueless about its meaning and possible relation to the show.
The only thing I know is that the Tokyo Tower and Roppongi Hills are both located in the Minato district (ward) of Tokyo, fairly close to each other.
Speaking of Tokyo Tower, do you know that there's another TV Tower under construction in Tokyo nowadays? It is called Tokyo Sky Tree. It's already the highest building in Japan and will become the highest building in the world when it's done. Why did I highlight the Tokyo Sky part? I did it because there is a Tokyo Sky Metro in the anime. IRL it's simply Tokyo Metro, the Sky part only appeared in the anime. Well, I know that it was mostly for the allusion to the "Night on the Galactic Railroad" and the "train of fate", or "train to heaven", or "train to other world" - whatever you call it.
But perhaps there's that other meaning in this Sky part? I mean just like Tokyo Sky Metro was considered to be the symbol of the modern Tokyo, I wouldn't be surprised if the Tokyo Sky Tree became the symbol of modern Tokyo once it'd been finished, completely replacing the Tokyo Tower. And Tokyo Tower is pretty much the symbol of Momoka. Just how many times have we already seen it shining in the night in Mawaru?
This actually made me think that perhaps KIGA group intends to demolish the Tokyo Tower this time? Doesn't make much sense in terms of casualties... But might be interesting enough as a concept of killing the source of light in the city, forcing them to realise how precious it was, how frozen they have become that they stopped noticing such matters. We'll see...
Another point is - I'm surprised nobody still posted the most obvious reference:
Look for two things on this pic:
1) the Pink coat in the Princess's wardrobe
2) Princess's outlook
The reason I highlighted Princess is of course the Princess of the Crystal. Their dresses look very similar (especially the bottom, skirt part). However Himari's coat, the one she left home and went to Kamba, also strongly resembles the princess's clothes. Does it mean that Himari is approaching the destination of fate and transforms into the Princess of the Crystal?
Btw, I noticed that the symbol of the Natsume (two leaves in a circle) clan can also be considered as a recycled sign.
And the newspaper Masako's granddad was reading in episode 16 also had an article about recycling too (http://jp.japancorp.net/article.asp?Art_ID=19462).
So, PingForce, the environmentalists, as well as the KIGA group now, consider recycling as a solution to the trash. They rely on recycling (chosen ones, one of them is Kamba) to clean the world from trash.
I think Washizuki-sensei is already dead. That plate of fugu (blow) fish is likely a reference to death. The doctor himself is already a ghost, he just hasn't come to realise it at that point. I think Sanetoshi pretty much killed him when he replaced him as Himari's doctor in ep.12. Another reason why I think this happened - Washizuki-sensei worked in the Pingroup hospital, i.e. he could be considered a member of that organisation in a way...
Sometimes, when I look at Takakura Chiemi hair and Esmeralda's wig... I sense something fishy...
Shouma needs a good kick from Ringo to start fighting already. Kamba gives his all. Himari gives her all. It's time for Shouma to stop being trash, to stop running away and save the world. He has a superfrog next to him who he can rely on. What's more, her name's Ringo - apple, a symbol of love and universe.
So, Come on Shouma, take it already, obtain the penguindrum and fight! GAMBATTE NE!!!! |
