| Probably the best love scene I've encountered in my time with anime/manga. This shit was powerful folks. Guts just freaking out after all this time about killing Gambino and his "I've killed so many people before and after why Gambino?" and Casca saying them laying out their past with each other makes them equal. Yeah, I loved it. Also, it takes a tremendous amount of skill to have such a powerfully dramatic scene when the two involved are both naked. |

| Quite well done, though I think the anime did a better job at some parts of this scene. However, it certainly did no justice on how strongly Gambino's death effects Guts. And as mentioned, Caska's words throughout this whole chapter were very well written and heartfelt. |

| That was a really intense chapter. I loved the dialogues between Casca and Guts. I wonder if they will stay together though, since they have to save Griffith which is going to be difficult, plus there is a tragedy that's being forshadowed from the beginning. |

| What a tragically beautiful chapter. The way Casca lay there baffled as Guts fell apart, not truly understanding what was going on, when she asked if Gambino assaulted Guts so he killed him and Guts pounded the try and shouted, "No!" -- that is one of the most realistic moments of drama I've ever encountered in animanga. That was so utterly powerful. Guts' breakdown and Casca's solace was perfect. This is absolutely a perfect end to volume 9, maybe better than the end of volume 8 was. |

| A nice end to volume 9 (Even thought the scans I have have this as the beginning of volume 10...). The romance between Guts and Cazca really is something. Is adorable, in the good way. |

| As much as the flashbacks may have "ruined the moment" according to some people here, in a way I'm glad it did. This chapter was absolutely incredibly well done, one of the most emotional romance scenes I've ever seen, I'm blown away. |

| Guts breaking down after his flashbacks and Casca comforting him felt very real. Like I relate to them on another level... Their lovemaking scene ver.2 was even more beautiful than the first one. Without those intense feelings of grief, it became more sincere and passionate. |

| Not gonna lie. But I really felt Guts's pain there in that moment. It was so intense yet so beautiful to watch how Casca handled Guts's pain. It was such a dramatic and romantic moment. Such well written and some powerful dialogue delivery. This chapter really got me. I shed a tear. :'( |

| Guts became vulnerable with another person for the first time in a long time. I think this is something truly beautiful. Casca is an amazing woman, she understood what Guts was going through and made him feel at ease. This situation could have gone horribly wrong but Casca made the situation turn out for the better. We all carry our own baggage. In times when we are most vulnerable, that baggage can come spilling out. In this case, Guts traumatizing past came back to haunt him when he was most vulnerable. But Casca was able to bring him back to reality and remind him of the man he really is. |

| Some of the best romance I’ve ever read. This rung me like a bell. Casca handled that like a champion. After Guts saving her, she finally was able to save him. |
| Oh, and fanservice is about being gratuitous. So if you think this was fanservice, I actually feel sorry for you. |

| To be honest all this was so emotional... Finally Guts breaking free... Or something like that. But his trauma with Gambino comes out right at that moment because it really is something that affected him a lot inside, too much, in fact. It could already be more or less glimpsed from quite a bit behind, but Guts is a great guy at heart. All this scene between Guts and Kasca is wonderfully made. The two broke free, at least for the moment... |
| Guts has let himself be vulnerable with Casca, just like she with him. I'm glad that they were able to get much closer with each other. Judeau was right! |

| still not a fan of sex scene, but at least now it feels more right, more meaningful the experience made guts remember a bad part of his childhood, and now casca's attitude made him remember a better part of it both opening themselves to eachother, being vulnerable and finding consolation... that was beautiful |
| Seeing that side of Guts really hits hard... to see a man so strong be so vulnerable in front of Casca... you can tell they truly love each other |
