| It's nice to see that Ippo finally lost. Now, he has to just go through the phases of it finally settling in. Nice to have a little drawback from fighting and he got to go with Kumi to the amusement park. The little terrors from Mashiba whenever Kumi's around or talking to Ippo always are a laugh. xD |

Technically, he's still ranked 5th because it was a no.1 contender tournament, not a ranking one. So while he won it to face Date, he didn't rank up. Must mean Sendo won a few matches since too to get ranked either 2nd or 3rd. |

| When Mashiba grapped the phone it was a very nice and funny includement of the boxing abilities into the daily life...that is a very rare but cool idea of this show.. normaly you only see them fighting or training, so including something like romance (like in this episode) or daily life is always intereting. Also the romance built up very nice, even though i doubt that they will focus it in any kind.. focusing it would be unfitting anyway.. just let a bit happen besides the main story. A very nice episode |

| Mashiba=Best brother. I hope we see Date have a serious fight against a world ranker in the future. It'd be cool to see some legitimately elite level boxing with him, plus he's such a good character. Sendo Vs Vorg should be awesome. Still confused about why they get to fight for the title though. Shouldn't Ippo and Vorg have a rematch since they were the highest ranked guys before the Date fight? Either way, I'm hyped for that. |

| Mashiba and his usual jabs flickers at Ippo were hilarious to watch. The loss is finally starting to sink in him. I'd hated Takamura if he really mocked Ippo after the match. |

| That was a nice and funny episode. Damnit, what a great match is coming next btwn Sendoh and Volg. But I'm not sure why a fight btwn the 2 is deciding who will be the next champion? Should not be Ippo the one fighting for it if anything cause he won both of them? Would be good to know the standings and how it's calculated. It's also nice to see Miyata in there, there is so many good opponents around. And I'm wondering if Mashiba will go back to the same category of Ippo in the rest or will he keep in the same of Aoki and Kimura. Also I'm looking forward to see Date fight for the world champion. 3 months of rest for Ippo looks so much. Is no other tournament around to participate? I'm not really into boxing so I don't know how the schedule of a season works so a bit of info from the author would be cool. I also don't know if the nº1 fighter have to accept every single fight petition or he can decline them. Series haven't put emphasis on how it works. I bet for Volg to win the champion fight by the way. |

| Lot of the old Ippo's opponents come back to watch him win, only to get disappointed Don't worry about it Miyata, Ippo is definitely going to be stronger.. hohoho That telephone flicker though...
