| Ippo was getting ravaged in there with seemingly no idea on what to do but it turns out that he's actually pulling off a very clever tactic of exhausting Volg's stamina using the practice he did with the Chief. The whole exchange of blows where both of them were pretty much immobilized was definitely the most exciting part of the fight and that sick blow from Ippo, damn. The Gazelle Punch is already powerful enough but what he just did went beyond that and sent his opponent flying! |

| that last second/punch o_o and i believe that it's not only the fact that verg was the the world's ameture champion but the fact that their strategies is based on winning in first rounds rather than long match. |

All the other fights seemed believable, but I didn't like what the author did here, he should've come up with a better excuse for ippo to win, honestly |

| Can you believe it's been only two episodes since this match started? Because to me it feels like it's been going on forever, I think that the author really managed to put is in the shoes of Ippo and feel his desperate perseverance. Ippo imagining that he is punching the mitts instead of Volg was the real thing, I've had this experience in my own sport where the idea that I'm fighting an actual opponent distorts my senses and brings down my ability at least a level below what I can demonstrate otherwise. The pressure of a fight, especially one with stakes, weighs on the body and mind of amateurs. Also, worst cliffhanger yet. |
