| Well I'd have preferred if they ended it at episode 12, which was a good ending. This filler episode felt completely out of place, if they really wanted to do one they should have made it more relevant to the main characters. |

| Not the ending I expected but well the ending for me was the previous episode anyway, this was more as a special/ova which wasn't bad either but was a bit lacking in my opinion for a last episode of the series! All by all I quite liked the overall anime with it's nice and cute development in the end a pretty lovely anime 8/10 |

| A completely disappointing ending. I even made myself clear that the anime ends with episode 12. The episode 13 is nothing more than a filler or OVA that have no progression on storyline of Subaru and Jiro. This is a very bad episode. |

| For all it's worth, I like Mayo Chiki for how the main characters' relationship visibly moved forward, Kanade for forcing that movement and resolving misunderstandings, however forced it may be, and the fact that Mayo Chiki has a reverse trap main lead. I'm always a fan of those, but my biggest disappointment is the reverse trap aspect didn't progress beyond a development phase to grow out of. Similar to how a tsundere may chill out or a kuudere may gain emotions, Subaru's cross dressing only served as a starting point. That's fine in this type of show, as super in-depth introspection would be out of place. Still, it's a shame that we didn't get anything like, say, Genshiken Nidaime, where we had both slapstick humor and some insights into the cross dressing character's personality. I mean, as a main character, I would like some meat to their personality, especially with a character archetype I like. Or I dunno, maybe Subaru wasn't manly enough, nor did she have enough scenes where she could play the princely character her fan clubs seemed to make her out to be. The show seemed so blatantly intent on getting her to act girly. It would have been fine if it weren't so rushed, and if we actually had time to enjoy that transition. But, as it would be, Mayo Chiki was a short, quick and fun watch. |

Started to watch this anime with high expectations (specially due to the average score here on MAL), but in the end it was just slightly better than the average of the same kind. | I had a feeling this would be an epilogue episode. Subaru and Kinjirou pretty much went as far as they could—further than I expected—in the previous episode. Though, an official confession would've been nice. There were a lot of big laughs in Mayo Chiki. For a harem, it's rare for nearly every character to be likable. I liked everyone except for Subaru's creepy father. The art was generally good, but sometimes inconsistent; the body proportions were in constant flux. Lastly, considering the total lack of restraint in episode 12, it would've been more fun if the other episodes were less restrained. There was a lot of drag, particularly in episode 9, that could've used some booster shots. Episode: 5/5 Series: a high 6/10 |

| This last episode set it up that it was going to have a second season. But since it is 6 years later it just makes it a wasted episode. If this would have been a ova instead of a regular episode then it would have been just fine. |

Would like to read the LN, but no translation sadly (at least after vol2). Meh, despite the later half being kinda disappointing, gets a 7.7 out of me (lowish 8), for the strong start and some really great scenes.    <3 |

| My question is: Why wasn't this just an OVA episode? Because Episode 12 felt more like the end of the season for the show. This show has some potential for a second season especially since the manga has ended by now. But I feel like this episode being marked as episode 13, the last episode of the season of Mayo Chiki instead of being considered an OVA episode really messed up some of this anime's chances of getting a second season. (Plus I guess the harem tropes were too apparent at times as well which is kind of why I gave it about 7/10) |
