| Oh god, that coach relaxation technique... xD I was sure when I saw that spark in Kobashi eye that his greed of K.O. would overcome him. I think it was a really good episode, because it showed Ippo weak side. Even in the end, he wasn't in control at all. Ippo spittng blood while shouting was funny :P |

| It seems a lot of people didn't like this match. I had some doubts, but for me overall, I enjoyed it. Mainly because Kobashi was set up as the underdog, and it seemed ominous how they almost portray him as cannon fodder for Ippo. So I was expecting an upset win (more like hoping for shock value), but then that would sorta back track the progress of the show. |

| I don't care what anyone else thinks of Kobashi, as someone that enjoys real life combat sports as well, I reckon he's an awesome strategist. A nullifer that can make any fighter look shitty. He's like Batman in terms his preparation and smarts. And he's now developing some punching power. | Ippo got so amped up that he showered the crowd in blood like a Gwar concert. Awesome. Takamura, as always, was gold with his "HA! YOU DICKS THINK *I* CAN LOSE?" attitude. Kobashi's style was not only boring, but so was his personality. Best of luck in your future endeavors, kid. |

I can understand the spirit of shounen with all this filosofy like "if you want to win you will win", "trust in yourself you can be whatever you want", and all this sentences that keep motivating every one who reads this thinking you can be Mike Tyson only training hard. But the previous fight versus Jason Ozuma in which the 10 seconds count for Ippo was expanded to 30 seconds and specially this one versus Kobashi were out of the line. Kobashi at this moment is far better boxer than Ippo, but hey the MC just can't lose this early so let's make Kobashi a stupid fuck who suddenly believes he's a mexican boxer who senseless and non-stop attacks to let Ippo win 3 seconds before he will lose. I just hope Ippo can lose future fights (cause i'm really liking this series) if he's clearly destined to lose them, and please not only versus Tatsuya Kimura cause he is a main character. |

| The first real boxing match I saw had a lot of clinching and backing, more than in this fight, and I remember deciding that real boxing is not for me. I liked these episodes though. |

| After getting such a good hit in for the very first time, winning by decision felt like it just isn't worth it anymore. Even though it was less calculated of him to become outright aggressive, his passion and badassery's shone like never before. Make the daydream a reality, Kobashi! It's surprising to see that he of all people gave Ippo the closest call ever so far. It looks like Takamura just needed a little bit of moral support of his own! |

| He was using his own style because ''he wasn't gifted with power'', unlike Ippo.And then he performed such a clean hit,he felt that he can win with his own power. If you are watching only for action, go watch Dragon Ball where characters destroy planets with sneezing. |

| yeah i mean, ippo didn't really win this one, but kobashi definitely lost not a very satisfying win, but i felt for kobashi, i know that feeling too well... not exactly in boxing but you get my point :) also, seeing ippo screaming for takamura with all that blood spraying out his mouth just looked super painful and got me goose bumps xD |
