According to Tsutsui Yasutaka's official website, an anime project of his light novel "Bianca Overstudy" was revealed to be underway. The production company is Aniplex. The first three chapters of the novel were published in Faust magazine in 2008 with the illustrations drawn by Ito Noizi.

Art of Bianca Overstudy by Ito Noizi

Tsutsui Yasutaka is a 77-year-old best seller novelist, who is well-known as the author of Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (1967) and Paprika (1993). He was inspired by the Suzumiya Haruhi series and became one of the oldest light novel authors with the publication of "Bianca Overstudy".

Synopsis:
Bianca is a beautiful girl who attracts the attention of all the boys. When observing the fertilization of a frog's egg, she suddenly wants to see what human sperm looks like. She offers a handjob to one of her classmate Chihara and says, "Could you give me your sperm? I need it for my research."

You had me at "Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo," and won me at "Paprika" but lost me at the summary. This is likely a position of not judging a book by its cover, namely the back cover considering the depth of his previous works (going of their anime adaptations), but I really can't say that this will be on my to watch list.

What if it's actually much better than it's synopsis sounds? Well, in any case it won me over just because of that synopsis.

This synopsis is pretty much in line with both, if you think otherwise you should probably refresh your memory.

Well, that synopsis has definitely piqued my interest, plus considering the author this could be much better than it initially sounds. I had similar thoughts about B Gata H Kei, but I ended up loving that show.

THOSE SYNOPSIS... O.o
I won't judge it because of that but as series sound serious, so it can't be normal ecchi stuff like B gata H or misleading like Astrotte no Omocha, i wonder what are they planning to make.

Wasn't the TokiKake anime a sequel to the original novel or something? I'm pretty sure it wasn't a direct adaptation either way.

As for Paprika, yeah. I remember:

So does this mean the Madhouse will be adapting it? I mean, they made the TokeKake and Paprika anime, but I think seeing them adapting something with Nozoi Itou character designs would be a little weird. Maybe P.A Works will get this? It seems closer to their sort of thing, and since they don't make many anime, they push what they do make, and considering the author, I see this being pushed quite hard.

As for me, not sure if want. Will wait for first impressions before watching.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you were a time traveler. Please tell us. What's the anime like? When will it start airing? Seiyuus? And how many episodes?

Did it really suck? Huh? Full details please. I'm excited to hear it from you.

Lol, agreed, though I doubt it will be as great as B Gata H Kei was; it will probably be more serious.

This seem pretty interesting each work made by him is very different but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I don't think it's that much like B Gate H Kei and Tsutsui seem to be smart enough not make something like that.

lol everyone saying 'author has to eat lol' 'industry dying' ranting. You cynical bitches know nothing. The girl leapt through the time is so far the most normal novel Tsutsui Yasutaka ever made. All of his novel is disturbing shit. Just read anything about '大いなる助走' (The Great Approachway). His satire is just sick as hell. Sexual imagery, rape imagery, corruption etc

I will add some details. What exactly said on dairy of his was the fact that the producer of faust megazine + aniplex producer IWAKAMI ATSUHIRO came to visit him along with recent faust megazine with his new 'Bianca Overstudy' light novel. I think it is Faust Megazine vol 8.

If you know who Iwakami Atsuhiro is, you will know he has ability to make this something cleverer.

It's Aniplex. So, no. Not madhouse. It's Iwakami Atsuhiro, so PA works is unlikely choice.

And people, I'm disappointed how this even became a major news. It's because wording is extremely vague. He never ever said anything directly about Animation project. He just mentioned it, that's it. He said that "the first thing to do is writing, before counseling about book shape and animation project". It can be interpreted in two ways; he is not planning about its animation before the finish of the serialisation, or animation project is already underway. Either ways, it is not real 'announcement' yet.

The light novel does not even have its ending. It just got this next volume after THREE YEARS. Tsutsui said that he almost forgot what he has written on the first bit of that novel.

I fail to see how the fact it's being produced by Aniplex automatically excludes the possibility of it being animated by Madhouse. Aniplex produced Paprika and Strawberry Panic, both were done by Madhouse.
