I was laughing my head off when she kept calling him 'Spot'. Vash was being properly 'whipped' right there!

Liked this episode alot more than a few of the previous ones. Good action, good humour, and a fairly good tear jerker near the end.

So, is he immortal or something? I mean, he looked the same in the flashback as he looks now.

Thats what I thought too... immortal or at least ageless, combine it with that trick he pulled with the plant and there definitely is more to him than meets the eye... well other than being an invincible outlaw I mean...

This story is getting super interesting, there's something crazy about Vash I still don't know, and the humour and action in this episode were top-notch! Really, good stuff.

Wait, if that chick was three when that first happened, that would make this about 20 years later right? And in all that time no one ever caught him and he never learned anything more about his past? And how do you blow up a city without killing anyone?

The story progresses nicely, more questions are raised and personally I find this episode the best so far.
Btw I just realized that the black cat which randomly appears in every episode is the best. xD

Interesting. There's more to Vash than meets the eye.

If that flashback was at least 20 years ago, and Vash looked the same then, he's either in his forties now or is somehow ageless.

Vash is so funny haha. However, I'm liking the serious side of him. Each episode reveals a little more about him. It's very interesting.

Oh, the serious parts I was looking for are starting to pop up. Cool. If the later episodes can maintain this nice mix of comedy and drama, this willl definitely be a favourite series for me.

I'm loving every second of this, I liked the stoy of the engineer lady which made us learn a bit about Vash's past and I'm also wandering why he didn't age, maybe he is one of the humans (?) that build the plants.

Ok, at least now I'm sure that the setting is futuristic. One of the better episodes, I guess.

So Vash has to be like 40 or something?

Finally the story is starting to move on. And I'm loving this exposition: Nothing too subtle, nothing too obvious.

English Vash is doing a really good job balancing humor and drama. And for some reason I hate Meryl's japanese voice. Not sure if the english dubbing is getting more familiar or her tsundere-whiny voice is just unbearable.

Very interesting episode, so Vash has some sort of amnesia and cant remember anything hes done including the July incident which I assume is what got him such a huge bounty in the first place. That explains how such a seemingly good guy would ever do anything so terrible. Up until this point I was thinking they acicdently put a few extra zeros on his bounty by mistake haha.

I am sorry to quote myself but i feel like it need to be restated that in BOTH manga and anime VASH as PARTIAL amnesia he does remember his past in GENERAL but he does NOT remember the July incident SPECIFICALLY.

What alot of people probably do not understand is the first 5 episodes or so in the series were actually not part of Yashuhiro Nightow's manga. They were considered filler in the series, though definitely still interesting in their own way and humerus. But that is why the show has kind of appeared episodic until now. The real story actually begins with this arc and the big "steamer" that comes to town and the fight with the large giant in town, don't want to spoil anything.

Milly and Merl weren't even introduced until later.

Well, that makes a lot of sense! Thats a strange tactic to start a 26 episode anime with filler...

this episode was very interesting! I still find the action in this show disappointing. So I wonder if Vash is some sort of immortal being with super powers. He seems to understand how the plant works better than anyone.

Cool episode, funny when she called him Spot and everything.

Yeah how is it he saved her when she was 3 and he looks the same age as her? I'd say they both looked like they were in their 20s.

Why doesn't he remember if he did it or not?

I'm glad she didn't manage to kill him!

What's with the random black cat? lol. It's cute but odd.

I wonder how many years have passed since Elizabeth was three as well as why it was referred to as the third city of July.
Could it have been the third incident that Vash the Stampede got himself into or was it the third city to be ever established in the region?

Vash seemed to have been dedicating a remembrance when he poured that bottle of alcohol solemnly, so what past event did he recall there and then?
