Perhaps the greatest introduction of a rivalry in anime, and when that one dude said, Its Kira vs L!" I felt that.

This episode was pretty awesome, not gonna lie - the entire series seems to become much more interesting. I loved it and I'd give it a 9.2/10 rating because yes

Once again, the series gives out another strong and intense scene with the introduction of L. The episode does a good job of showcasing both Light and L as geniuses going into a war of wits with each other, Light via the demonstration of his technique in hiding the Death Note and his wiliness to destroy it if need be and L via showcasing his wiliness to sacrifice human lives and put himself in danger to find the information he wants. The ending of the episode sent chills down my spine.

My favorite scene was Ryuk whining about being bored in Light's class.
