| I was hoping Sakuragi would contribute more, he seemed better in th match against Ryonan. I guess they're saving his potential for the later matches so everyone can be surprised. =P |
| I'm disappointed actually. He was much more useful in the match against Ryonan, what happened? Heck, on top of not getting that dunk, he got a disqualifying foul... Eh. He really needs to drop the "I'm a genius" attitude. It's just really annoying now. Sakuragi doesn't really seem to have developed much, and it's already 32 episodes in. :/ |
| I swear there's a gorilla on every team, always some big guy with big lips that looks like Akagi. That head dunk killed me, I really thought he was going to start improving this game, poor guy ended up being completely useless. His attitude is getting kinda old now too, like it was funny when he was new but now I'm hoping that these constant humiliations will take him down a notch and make room for real development. People complain about beta males in anime but alpha male extremists like this can get pretty over the top too. |

| Okay, I just compared the anime and the manga for this match to see which was more adequate. Turns out the rugby club baldie bulldozer doesn't even exist in the manga. That explains why he feels like a cheap trick of a character... So yeah, not only does the anime have horrible pacing but it also contains random fillers throughout the episodes. Also Sakuragi doesn't seem that stupid and useless in the manga as he is presented here. Long story short, I'm dropping here, will be continuing with the manga. |

Kinda makes me wonder how this turned into classic cause Sakamichi is horrible. If not for my love for basketball, would have dropped it ages ago. He is like a 5 year old kid. It was amusing at first but not so many episodes later. when the anime ends at 96 episode (last cannon episode) this is when he starts getting better overall although he has some developement as the anime goes on.Not sure if you are a manga person but i suggest reading the manga since you progress faster from when watching an anime and then if you want watch the anime. https://myanimelist.net/anime/292/Dear_Boys?q=dear (another basketball anime that from your list you havent watched,only suggesting since you said you like basketball alot, dont eat me :D) |

| Shohoku dominates!! Never underestimate Rukawa! Miyagi getting lots of attention from Ayako! Mitsui doing his iconic three points and of course Gori Dunk! Stupid Sakuragi. This is definitely his worst showing. Even the Ryonan practice was a better performance than this. Hope he learns from this. Definitely an embarrassment. Even Mr. T was dumbfounded with this stupidity. |

| Like many others, I would like to see Sakuragi earn points in his first official game, but the fact that he didn't do anything useful seems more realistic. Sakuragi has only been playing for a month and has never played basketball before and doesn't even know the rules. More experienced players will not trust him with the ball, because the chance of earning points is very small. |

| It’s kind of hard to watch the game sometimes, but I’ll wait patiently for his improvement. I just wish they would focus more on teaching him everything he needs to know about basketball. |
