Mjeeh I'm hungryyyy! Why I don't have money to buy so excellent and healthy food like Lotus?

I wonder how much it would cost if I sent this to America -

btw while I was looking for a pic, I found this blog http://www.salmiyuck.com , dear god that man loves Salmiakki.

Well, there's officially now a blog for EVERYTHING. Eating healthy is still cheaper than eating at restaurants.

Yep, you're so right, but I don't even have a money to buy food from supermarkets. And noodles and porridge are cheaper than fruits and nuts.

@ Himari

This japanese guy disagrees with you

It's kinda a habit to bring some salmiakki candy for your foreign hosts, when I was in Turkey last time I bought lots of salmiakki to my turkish friends, they went to puke after eating them xD So I had to eat rest of the candies by myself :'D

That was kind of cute. Everyone in my family hates black licorice. I think there are more people who hate it then like it. But what ever he was eating it didn't look too good.

Yesterday we made the most tastiest hamburger's. What we put in was...

About 2 1/2 tablespoons of each.
A1 Marinade Chicago Steakhouse
Steakhouse Marinade (bought this at bloom's, old food lion store0
1 Small onion
1 1/2 lb beef

OMG, they were awesome! Best hamburgers we've made so far.

"It's good. It's awesome!" great quote

@Bill

Yeah, I actually have breakfast type food for my 4th meal of the day
1st: Veggies, nuts, fruit
2nd/3rd: Meat, some type of carb, usually vegies and fruit
4th: Nuts, dry cereal, vegies, fruit

@Himari

A1 is great, I've never had the marinade though. Didn't like their peppercorn one even though I normally like black pepper on stuff (especially fresh ground). Their tobasco one was pretty good though.

if you think A-1 is good as a marinade, you should try worchestshire...that with a little butter, a pinch of fresh garlic, a healthy dose of oregano, some crushed red pepper, and if you like a bit of spicyness, just a tiny bit of adobo (maybe that's just me)....ok my keyboard is gonna short out from drool now =P

Tonight I had a Crete salad, which is looking exactly like this:

And the best thing is that I bought it from a Greek fast food chain, Goody's that use only olive oil in their foods! :P Well here fast food is not at all what it is abroad and it's not that bad always.. the menu has lots of salads and vegetables. A lot of McDonalds and all KFCs apart from one have failed and ultimately closed in Athens, because it's just not our style of eating.

here's goody's page btw: http://www.goodysnet.com/menu/menu/?prd=22
I'm eating lots of times there since I was a child when it first opened here.

A fast food chain with actual plates and silverware? Well, that's great for the environment, but more work for the employees.

For my 2nd meal I had chicken, peas, and onions with a miso garlic sauce and oat bread

For my 3rd meal I had cooked oatbran with cinnamin and spices and vanilla protein powder and almond flour

Opps I was wrong, we're on the fourth page. LOL It does look really good. Looks like a dessert though. I'll make it after we come back from the beach. Then it won't matter if I gain a few pounds back. xD

We had pancakes tonight, but they we're just plain one's. I usually like mine with blueberries, blackberries or banana's.

I had chicken with BBQ and Frank's Red Hot sauce and oat bread. The flavour (Google Chrome spell check is telling me flavor is the wrong spelling, really?) anyways (also telling me anyways is not a word, I know that, but anyways is slang so it's ok to use)
The flavor reminds me of buffalo wings I used to get when living on a college campus. BW3 was nice they had so many flavors and they even sold bottles of sauce to use at home.

speaking of =D...tonight, for myself (dad has to eat almost baby food with his dental work), i'm having baked chicken stuffed with bell peppers, chopped scallions, some black olives, dried and roasted tomatoes, feta cheese, and a hint of citrus (not sure lemon or lime juice)...and there'll be enough leftover for dad to have in a couple days =D

i think justice's salad inspired me perhaps ^^...

WOW, indeed that sounds VERY good!! I would love to taste it if I could!

And btw, if it's one thing i'm proud of nowadays Greece is that we still prefer healthy food. A lot of such chains start opening, like for example a "fast-food" chain making mainly salads and fruit salads, also cold sandwiches. Even Starbucks here has some healthier food, with lots of yoghurts and cold sandwiches with white cheese.

Btw my most favourite sandwich is this, from Goody's:

It is a freshly baked dark bread filled with feta cheese, olives, tomato slices, oregano and pickle sauce. It's called "Traditional Premier".

But today I ate an omelet with feta cheese, tomato and a sort of sausage tha looks like this: (dunno how it's called in english)

Also today it was my town's celebration, it's named after a saint, and it's a big day for the church. There was a fair outside in the streets, were you can buy these things, that are coconut sticks in many flavours:

@Lotus

wow, i didn't think that was rare.. here every restaurant, even fast foods have silverware and plates, as well as glasses. Some even have stylish glass bottles for water with their name on. I'm sure they are using big wash mashines afterwards, but still it is work indeed.

@Lumikki

hahaha, you're welcome anytime! xD And btw did I read right? You made tzatziki?! :OO

Breakfast: Pistachios and tamari almonds and slice of granny smith apple

Lunch: Chicken, pinto beans, yellow squash (from our garden), Frank's red hot sauce, Terra chips

@Bill: Cereal bar sounds good, but not very healthy (of course I wouldn't eat healthy if I wasn't sick. I would always gain weight when I went away to summer camp and my first year of college because I was used to health food at my house. I probably gained weight my freshman year also b/c of the drinking)

Just add a few almonds and/or some protein powder with milk. Then you get some protein with your carbs. I don't expect anyone to eat as healthy as me. Hopefully I won't have to eat like this my whole life, though I doubt I'd ever go back to eating purely junk food.

I eat some Greek salad for a lunch today! Feta cheese and olives yum!

They say finnish cuisine is one of the worst cuisines in the world and I agree with that fact in some parts, but they are several very good dishes like Karjalanpiirakka and Kalakukko ( both are from Eastern regions). So you should try them!

Some Hetalia examples with fixed errors ( hell yeah I can use paint pretty well :D)
