| 8/10 for me the series started off interesting but mid way just felt like it dragged. though i must say i haven't cried from an anime in quite some time, and this one got me. i'm a sucker for tear jerkers so this will leave a good impression |

| Good ending, was pretty much what I was expecting. I'm glad Menma finally appeared to them all. I didn't really cry though, which surprised me. This was one of the best anime this season, I'm gonna miss it. Animation was top notch and the voice acting was amazing. The music too, great OP and they picked the perfect song to cover and use for this anime. I'm gonna give it a 9/10 and place it on the top of my favorite drama list. |

| Hahaha... wow, I was prepared but I did not expect it to be this tear jerking. Animation and story were pretty good. Character development was avarage though, so it will be 8/10 overall. Definitely one of the better anime's this season. The best anime this season goes to Steins;Gate though <3 |

| Well, it was a great 11-episode run. Easily my favourite this year, andI feel it will be for a long time. Menma's goodbye letters did it for me. The emotional impact I feel were delivered perfectly. As of this episode, this is my favourite anime of this genre. It really deserves the 10/10, and I believe many people would agree to this. Truly a masterpiece. Menma and pals, thanks for the awesome series. I sincerely hope that there will be more orignals like this coming up. Story: 9.5/10 Animation:9/10 Characters: 10(.5)/10 Music: 9.5/10 Overall: 9.5/10 ---> 10/10 because I can! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The voice actors/actress' work was of the highest quality, especially Tomatsu Haruka's Anjou. Hoping there would be more of her after this, as I've really become a fan. MENMA!!!!! Those goodbye letters made me die on the inside. |

In general I shall not forget Menma in appearance, character and mostly in emotions. There is the airhead aspect too yes.I had quite a lot of heartaches. Not bad ones but as a result of the emotion impact let's just say that it's OVER 9000! |

It was sad, but they were yelling/crying so much that it was kinda funny. :P The second half was just wonderfully sad though, I loved it. | Not gonna lie, I started crying around halfway into the episode when Tsuruko said "We're not the Super Peace Busters without all six of us." AND THEN THE TEARS JUST WOULD NOT STOP. I think that the ending was a little awkward at some parts but really, there couldn't have been a way to make it any better. It fleshed out all of the characters' true emotions and then resolved their feelings with the "epilogue?". It was really touching how Menma's wish was essentially Jintan's mom's wish. It was all for his sake too. <3 I love how by the end everyone could see her and wish her a proper goodbye. In the end I had to bump up the score to a 10. Ano Hana was definitely the best of this anime season. |

| Really touching and emotional - not gonna lie, I cried. A lot. Haven't cried that much since seeing Marley & Me for the first time T: I was crying on and off start to finish. I really enjoyed it though. For me it is one of the best animes; short, but very sweet and overall extremely well done C: |

| A great show, but I dropped from 9/10 to 8/10 because it clearly needed one more episode. As some of you said, all those emotions crying and confessing at the beginning were rushed too much, and at some point their crying wasn't sad anymore but hilarious... :/ From a typical drama scene it transformed into a comedy one, sort of a grotesque. But I am satisfied with the ending nonetheless. When the ED song started playing I was like "what?! already?!" and feared it will be an "open ending" (I hate this oxymoron), but fortunately there was a closure. Though as others said, a time skip OVA would be godly indeed. Last but not least, Anjou Naruko voiced by Tomatsu Haruka simply made the show. |

| drama, drama, and the portrayal of raw human emotions. As slow as the middle of the show moved, the last few episodes quickly reached climax, with everyone's feeling revealed. (poor Poppo, only one in the group without someone to love). Death/departure is standard in terms of creating tension and emotions. Nonetheless, the characters made it work. Seriously, Menma is adorable. Everyone else is presented very realistically as well. Overall enjoyable, with all its happy, sad, and pure rage moments. |

| FINALLY cried Poppo is probably my favorite character outside of Menma and Jintan of course I had really high hopes for this anime and unfortunately those hopes weren't met I feel they could've executed the anime and this final episode in particular a lot better But still a good anime and definitely one I will remember and recommend to friends |

| I hated the first half of the ending because all the yelling was over the top and actually made me laugh, but the 2nd half was very well done and a tearjerker. 8/10 for the series. |

| Forced drama and tears. No offense, but they kinda over did it. The shrine scene made me laugh and the hide-and-go seek in the forest while randomly yelling was pretty ridiculous too lol. But overall, this series was pretty good. I enjoyed it. |

| I learned this anime wasn't about anything friends forever end cliche loved the beginning, downhill from ep. 4. The love triangle was trite and uninteresting worst of all unfulfilled. Predictable ending, no explanation behind Menma's sheer existence or how they could see her. Unbelievable anime all around. 7/10 for for it's excellent animation throughout and interesting and light soundtrack and songs with some very good voice acting |

| Wow that felt really rushed and everyone's little confessions felt extremely forced. Everyone spent majority of their lives being horrible to each other and they got over in like 5 minutes. Whatever. Series was decent enough, but sheer lack of episodes put a strangle hold on the character development. 7/10 |
