| Damn. That...was one hell of an episode. Seeing Gintoki lose his cool was scary. I really hope Otose didn't die. I've always liked her character ever since the episode about the dying old man. |

| I don't get it. Gintoki has beaten far stronger opponents, but he loses his cool for a few seconds and he somehow loses against this new guy? I have to disagree with pretty much everybody here, rage-mode Gintoki is pretty lame, not badass. (Also, you've got to love the whole "it starts raining right when things get dramatic" cliche) |

| Nooooooo, I can't accept Otose dead :( That old man couldn't have killed her, he must have been bluffing. Right? Pirako really fooled me. Even when we saw her flashback, I just couldn't make the link. Gintoki have enter madness mode. Just look at his eyes at the end, they were rushing of blood. |

| What... O.O? so Otose died? just like that? I didn't expect the old dude to kill her cause you know, they got history and he even told her to leave at first. Goddammit this show is just... I remember when they introduced Sougo's older sister and then she dies a couple of episodes after. Whenever they kill someone, they make it less dramatic, no bgm, no last words before their last breath, not much crying and shit but it's impact on the viewers.... it's massive. It's so clever. This show rocks. |

Even before watching this episode I was laughing at my lack of emotional capacity and feeling pretty rad for having not shed a single tear throughout the previous two hundred over episodes, and then this episode happened and I bawled like a baby. //lies down// Also this poor guy needs a hug u_u |

| I already seen this episode two times, but I can't stay watching it without having goosebumps and manly tears. One of the best episode of Gintamam there is no word to describe Gintoki in berserk mode. The end was so sad, now I think I will think about this moment every time I would see the Ending T_T |

I think this is the first time I have see Gin really goes in BERSERK MODE without any regrets. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!  That was so crazy I have almost no words for it. But it was like I thought Jirocho is super strong, also if it's pretty unfair if you have to fight with a wodden sword against a real sword. Poor Gin, this must be so frustrating and sad for him that he couldn't protect someone of his familiy. Hard to say if Otose is dead. I really liked her as a character :( I really looking forward to see what will happen next. This arc is absolut crazy good. |

Otose's case is not unlike the Peacock Princess Kada, both of whom has little fighting ability. Unlike Kada who has money, business, and mercenaries, Otose's influence comes from her friends, confidant, etc. And when it comes conflicts that endanger the Kabuki district, she does step to the front and take charge, as she did in 4 devas arc, and later in the unadapted final arc. |

| Y'all ever seen Gintoki is so pissed like that? Nope. He makes this personal because Otose was the one who gave him a place, and most importantly a reason to keep on living. Despite all the argument and shitty thing Gintoki did, she's after all someone he considered as his family. And not to mention the promise he made to her deceased husband too. That was just a pure rage there, and even Jirocho didn't expect that first blow by Gintoki. Had it been a real sword, he'd be severely wounded there. Not to mention the stuff with Catherine too, Otose is a truly great mother figure on Gintama and no one could replace her. |

| Damn this episode was EPIC!! I really hope Otose isn't dead, but that fight was intense af. Seeing Gintoki raging like that sent shivers down my spine. That ending brought me to tears. |
