| Ignoring plot and characters, I instantly noticed something a lot of popular series lack: style. Plus despite being quite old, it's really watchable; I think I have a remastered version. Haven't found a reason to switch to the original versions yet |

| I started watching Cowboy Bebop just now. Let just say episode 1 blew me out the door. It knew where exactly to hit my button correctly! Have to agree that this nearly 13 year show is way above the crap we have now... The last scene was so sad, would of been more tragic for me, if she was truly pregnant, but than Spike would lose his shot w/ her. |

You're an idiot, did you even watch the episode? He was going to kill him, but his girlfriend stopped him, and they argue about why during the chase. Not a plot hole. |

| Rewatching the first episode, and I love it! I believe I've seen the first 15 episodes years ago, but never finished it because I was renting it from the library and never found the last couple of DVD. But I don't remember disliking any of it, so I bought the boxset for a decent price and finally had some time to pop it in and enjoy! |

| I've watched this anime many times, but now I'm re-watching it again. This episode is perfect start. Bebop is always enjoyable no matter what times I've watched. chin-jao rōsu scene is funny as usual. |

| Pretty cool actually. A bit less than 4/5 but mostly on spot. Loving the jazz music and drama. It flows well! I'm not sure if I really like the whole space bounty hunter thing going on actually, but I'll give it a couple of more episodes. |
| That Jeet Kune Do! Man, this is awesome, I'm definitely going to love it, especially Spike. Really looking forward to the other characters to show up from the opening as well, especially Faye. I feel like their was a lot of hidden context in this episode. Cowboy Bebop, it's about time. |

| This is one of the most disappointing introductions I've seen in a while. The world-building is almost nonexistent, the characters are nothing more than cardboard boxes, the comedy was dull and unoriginal. Am I really supposed to laugh at the protagonist that tries to hide food in his mouth? The shaman was the epitome of the lazy writing of the show. His predictions felt like a good ole deus ex machina that allowed the protagonist to predict the future, without giving any plausible explanation. The lacking character development leads to unanswered questions. Why did Katerina ask Solensan to spare Spike? Falling for a stranger just after meeting him sounds like lazy writing to me. Why did she kill Solensan in the end? They were going to be arrested, sure, but I fail to understand how that would be worse than dying, at least from the scarce information we have of their personalities. And why the hell the cigarette wasn't affected by gravity inside the Bebop, when the characters had their feet anchored to the ground? |

| That was a great start. The animation in the fight scene are fluid despite being an anime in the 90's. Spike is so badass. lol I love its jazz and R&B soundtrack esp. the harmonica at the end. It creates a Western setting that makes the show more authentic. |

| I'm not into sci-fi and old anime, even less into space and vehicles but since it's considered a classic and I like GTO which is old too I decided to give it a go. The art is pretty nice actually. I like that eyebrows are covered by hair, they don't show through hair like in newer anime.. that's so annoying. General theme is ok too. OST is very cool and Spike is likeable. I'll keep watching for sure. |

| That was a great episode. I've been meaning to watch this for years. I saw episodes on Adult Swim when I was a kid but I can't remember half of the ones I watched. Spike seems like a cool guy, I think I will like this show. See you space cowboy. |

| The first scene seemed abrupt, but I guess for now the rose does tie a bit with the ED. It completely escaped my mind that this show was going to be episodic and have standalone episodes. |

| Watching this series first time on BD by Funimation. I could definitely see why the release is kinda let a down. Some scenes aren't BD and it felt like it was from DVD. I read the JPN BD's are better which i have also :) Starters, love the opening music. I really love Yoko Kanno's composition, especially Darker Than Black, but this series is full of jazz and style which i like it! I'm also watching in Japanese and it's much better. Spike sounds much more mature and you can feel he has been smoking a lot. Plus Yamadera-san is a veteran there's a reason why he won an award for his performance here :) Jet sounds old and badass!! Hearing him as Unsho Ishizuka as Old Joseph from Stardust Crusaders and the new Heihachi in Tekken Tag 2. He really fits the old archetype besides Otsuka Akio :) Good start. Let's see how this series lives up to the tremendous hype in the west. |

| I've been meaning to watch this for a while. Time to see what all the hype is about. I hope it doesn't disappoint. The English dub is fantastic! Fucking fantastic! It's nice to have a break from all the subs I watch. Haven't seen a English dub in a while. I wonder what that very short intro was about. I hope we get more of that of whatever happened. Pretty good start. I thoght that girl was pregnant but it was just bullets. lol Not sure if I like the OP but I really like that ED. Very nice. Let's see where this goes. I think I'm going to like this. |

| I saw a tribute/variation of this OP with a different theme a few weeks ago and thought the style was pretty great, and it was even better here :) Bebop has it's own really unique style, so I'm really liking the change of pace. The fight cinematography was awesome, and so is Spike. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the cast being introduced! |

| Geez, some people just love pointing out random holes on the first episode. Development? It's an episodic anime. And not all anime go into a 5 minute intro on what their world is like. The rest of the anime is supposed to integrate that for this case. Anyways, I thought it was a great start to the anime. |
