| I'd say you should at least watch the first season, for character introductions and such. The first season is very good, too. And it shouldn't really hurt to watch another 12 or 13 episodes after that before you start watching this season, even though Dragon Destiny sucked. |
| Lol why is this even a question? If this is the third season, a rational human would watch the first two season. As Sobzob pointed out, they're not long seaosns so you should be able to catch up with everything before half of the new season is over. I'd definitely recommend it. |

| the reason why I ask is because I heard this new season is totally unrelated (story-wise) to the first two (only use the same characters and introduce some new ones) and since I don't have that much time to watch anime (i was thinking of watching 1 ep per week is fine), so I figure I might want to give this new one a try first |

| I'm in the same boat as you Kamina. Since it's unrelated I'm wondering if there's much point in watching the other seasons if it's just a case of getting to know the characters. |

What this first episode lacked for a newcomer was background story and character introduction. I can't say much about the story yet, it's only been one episode. I'd still say watch the 2 prequels (including the first Ikkitousen) before you watch this. |
