| I wasn't expecting it to be 100% good, but i still enjoyed it. I mean it was a OVA, they couldn't put everything in it. Who knows maybe an actual anime will come out soon. this was basically just a small gift for the fans i believe. Also "Kaoru looks very creepy"? i thought he looked just like he does in the manga, actually that dom. stare he gave Nana turned me on alittle *blush* |

| It was ok for what it was. remember, this is an OVA for a borderline-hentai series. I am dissatisfied with the cutoff of the interior monologue - especially on the Koaru side - as this is IMHO the true exciting part of this series. |

| The fuck? Nana's point of view ruins the storytelling, i mean her thoughts are important as well, but they just cut off Kaoru's thoughts completely. This made him look like some creep. And how they skipped through breather is terrible, stick with the manga, dammit. Kaoru's VA fits him though, and Nana's is good(hell, it's Yomi!) but the four-eyes president totally sounds like creep, not that he's important anyway~. Lastly, it was good to see at least two breathers animated, they looked nice and voice adds even more. But as overall, this is shit. TwEeD said: I actually think Kaoru's voice isn't bad, it suits him. But the live action version is even better, his voice is almost pefect. Also, the live action movie looks pretty good for a l-a. I guess i'll look forward to it as well.And wtf is up with Kaoru sounding like a pretty boy? | These sorts of one-shot OVA adaptations of manga always strike me as some bizarre trailer/pilot/summary hybrid, and they usually end up pretty "meh" as a result. As some of you have mentioned already, the main problem of the Nana-centric narration/perspective really hurts Kaoru's characterization, as here he just seems like some random guy who does these things to her, as opposed to her childhood friend/neighbor who at times is just as conflicted as she is over their whole situation. Animation and voice work was fine for me (liked the ED too), but I'll also agree that the tongue thing seemed a bit off at times. Regardless of all that though, holy crap and I thought I felt dirty reading the manga. |

| I think that the artwork was pretty good, the characters looked the same as they did in the manga. I think that Nana looked very good, and Kaoru looked creepy / perverted, as he does in the manga. From my point of view (I've read the manga) I think that this episode was decent, but it was lacking in development. Without some development, it was mainly just eye candy, and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I enjoy reading the manga. So for me, it was OK, but nothing jumped out that made it even close to as good as the manga. |

| Why the hell is it from Nana's point of view? Kaoru's character is completely ruined in this. They should have just made this into some cheap hentai instead of messing up a surprisingly good story. |

| imo, it wasn't that bad if you can read between the lines. haven't read the manga, but from reading summary then watching the episode i could pretty much get what they left out story wise. young sadist longing for his childhood friend, she discovers his hobby and finds a masochistic streak in herself, and a unique story of finding love in an unexpected place and form is born. if they put in more story progression on kaoru's part it could turn out better, who know's maybe pov switches every episode or somethin. |

Skipping the collar-in-the-park scene alone is enough to aggravate me tbh. I can already assume the people in this thread who have just watched this with no previous experience with the manga are just in a "wtf?" state. |

Sure, you could tell he would get excited and all, but you had his thoughts all the way through and they never really rang the creep alarms. |
| This was kind of "meh" for me. I thought the animation was alright, and the voice acting pretty decent, but what makes the manga so great is the characterization of Kaoru. He is a really well fleshed out character and his excitement in these situations is part of what makes the audience excited. Without that, what you get is kind of bland. |
