I was really quite surprised when I first saw the scripts of the 2000 year old Valkyria, because it was near enough the same as the script found in the first part of the Legacy of Kain series, Blood Omen. I'm a great fan of these series of games and I spent some time learning the script found at: http://www.nosgoth.net/Blood_Omen/downloads.htm during a slow weekend.

A bit more digging brought me to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elder_Futhark, which then showed me that it was a written language used in the 2nd to the 8th centuries in the Scandinavian region.

Except for the whole 2000 year old bit it does make sense though, what with Valkyries being part of Norse legends/myths.

It's fun how you can discover stuff like this when you know a normally trivial bit of information :)

Just so you know, there isn't really any point in this whole topic; I simply wanted to share my useless information :P

Thanks for reading!
