| So the old dude from a few episodes back, the one that's above Boscone, turns out to be Griffith's former pimp. The band of the Hawk is fighting ridiculous odds (5.000 to 30.000?) so I'm curious as to how they're going to win this. I suspect they will have some sort of secret weapon near the river? Griffith's pimp really wants to get his hands on that sweet booty again, so he orders his soldiers to take Griffith alive. Probably a decision he will live to regret. Also, Guts seems to be serious about leaving after this battle. I'm guessing things will really be set in motion from that point on. Casca was also worried about Griffith losing his cool if he would encounter his pimp again. We'll see what happens. |

| We are near the end of the war, but it's also personal for Griffith. It's nice when there is a resolution incoming! It's a transitional episode that is important to set up the story. |

| I think Griffith has organized his strategy based on the governor's way of thinking. Pondering about the Tudor's soldiers who were enthusiastic to meet Guts' and his men, I felt a bit sad realizing that when people are happy to meet powerful rivals, this happens because the experience leads them to growth and transformation. It is, ultimately, a joy of life in itself as well. And yet, they could lose their lives so easily, so fast. On second thought, for some people enjoying a single moment of ecstatic happiness might be enough to consider having lived their lives to the fullest. |
