It reminds me of Kill Bill. You just need to remember that once you're on the screen, your blood pressure doubles. That's all there is to it ;P

I enjoyed the comment "this will be the most enioyble way to die". Theoretially it's true, provided you can be satisfied by your enemy. Sure, most soldiers are hulks that can provide everything a woman can wish for, but I think the fact that you're about to be killed sort of kills the mood :(

That was some really epic episode! Very nice fight scenes, lots of gore and blood.... mmm, very tasty! xD For Gatsu, even whole platoon of mercenaries seems like a joke. It would probably take no less than battalion of skilled soldiers to take him down lol xD
It's just like one dude said: 'every time he swings his sword - someone dies!'.
But please, someone save Casca! ><

"If you guys don't get it together i'm leaving."

The comedy just works brilliantly intertwined with the action.

I decided to watch the outtakes on this disc, and now I'm gonna have to go back through and watch the rest. For the most part it's pretty standard line flubs, but the guy who does Griffith is HILARIOUS.

After a great episode of development, THIS happens! What a massacre, enjoying this more and more! I usually am not one to like mindless violence and liters of blood being spilled, but it fits well with the nature of Berserk. The only other series where the exaggerated use of blood and guts (no pun intended) felt right was Hellsing Ultimate. These series are overly violent and gory, but there's something about them that justifies it, it doesn't feel just like a guilty pleasure.

I don't like how it is obvious that Griffith is going to save Caska. They didn't show what Griffith decided to do (search for Guts or continue the fighting), and they would never let her get raped. I really don't like these kind of scenes.

I agree, I also feel its pretty obvious Griffith is gonna appear out of nowhere to save her. It seems whenever shes in trouble either Guts or Griffith drop out of the sky at the last second to come to her rescue.

Other then that this episode was good, lots of action and guts just cutting through tons of enemies was great fun to watch.

Guts is a fucking BEAST! I love these little battles where they pit their best against him, and I like how he actually gets hurt, but he's just too badass to seccumb to such flesh wounds, this would be infinitely more badass if they was some dismemberment though, and Casca better not get raped!! (prtty sure Griffith comes 2 da rescue like a baws)

LOL Guts is overpowered and this episode doesn't make any sense, So Stupid.

Bad Episode.

Instead of attacking him all together they attack him one, two, three.
This is not logical.

A little uneventful. Guts is unstoppable but hes only Human. He recovers a little to rapidly for someone that's constantly hit with arrows. And hes able to swing with 100% power endlessly. He must have some limitations or weaknesses besides Griffith.

Cascas caught in a bad situation but it seems she'll fight a way out or be rescued by Griffith.

Looks like another quiet episode again before another battle. These battles aren't accomplishing much other than earning Griffith favor among the nobles.

That was a comedic episode.

And giving too much time to a goofy comic relief character, the general.
It's being dragged beyond its limit.
One asspull after another -minor to major- starting with Guts saving her in that battle.
Enemy forces waiting for their conversation to end, is something that was unlikely to happen in the first ten episodes, the battles in this wasn't supposed to be similar to JoJo.
There's also a fair amount of poor dialogue compared to decent dialogues have been presented so far.
Irrational acts from both characters, and some scenes too.

Some potential plotholes too, for example, where was Samson in their last battle? he could've made a noticeable difference.
what happened to her losing her trust to Grifith after hearing his talk with the princess?
He chose princess apparently. she witnessed that. what's with her losing that memory and saying Grifith chose Guts? It's unlikely of an emotional character like her to say that and ignore Grifith's recent close relationship with that girl.

And still, Bill will live on.
He will befriend the next inhabitants of the earth, beings of light who revere him as a god.
And Bill will outlive them all... for millions and millions of years...exploring, learning, living,
until the earth is swallowed beneath his feet.
Until the sun is long since gone.
Until time loses all meaning and the moment comes that he knows only the positions of the stars
and sees them whether his eyes are closed or open.
Until he forgets his name and the place where he'd once come from.
He lives and he lives until all of the lights go out.

Great episode as always from the OG Berserk

I feel like this episode was a bit unnecessary though, that general should have died by the hands of Griffith and the army. Still a good episode nonetheless.

Really no scene stuck out here, maybe the Casca scene where she was held against her will. I feel like Griffith's absence really takes away from Berserk.

Guts got in quite the pinch, but considering he is, after all, Guts, he will probably handle the situation swiftly. Sad that the guy survived though, now Guts will have to deal with him all over again.

Although some things are too convenient in this episode, like some have mentioned above, there are some glaring plotholes.. however, I feel like I'm expecting too much.. can't deny I still enjoyed it, it was a great episode.. I loved the way Guts talks to Casca and his way of treating her. I guess that was what the episode was about more than the attacks.

Loved this episode, it went by in a flash. Guts really knows how to tick Casca off now, haha. But the one line he said: "Of course not, I'm a man. How could I understand a woman?" That's pretty deep for just a throw-away line.

The batlle was awesome. I love how Guts grows fang and gets the "crazy eyes" in the heat of battle. The part where he deflected Samson's spikeball into another enemy's face was funny. It got a chuckle out of me.

And of course, the pervs strike again. This episode ended on such a cliffhanger. I just have to go straight to the next one.

Edit: People talking about plotholes, sure there might be a few. The only one I really noticed was that the enemies had Guts and Casca completely surrounded at multiple times. One single charge would be all it takes. But what can you say, anime.

Guts is a monster in battle. One man against an army! He is finally the hero in this episode, he got in the shadow so many times because of Griffith but finally he is the star.

Casca is starting to think different about him, I don't know why she seems so powerless, I always thought she is one of the most skilled fighters in the band of the hawk.

I like that there is character development even in a rough battle.
The last three episodes were so explicit, more than the first episodes where a lot of stuff was cut down from the manga.
