| According to the tweet of Takeda Yasuhiro (GAINAX's producer), Kon Satoshi passed away due to pancreatic cancer. He was 46. Mangaka Yuuki Masami also confirmed the news. According to Cinema Today, MAD HOUSE announced that Kon Satoshi passed away in the early morning of August 24th. He had been working on a new anime "Yume Miru Kikai" (Yume Miru Kikai official website). I thought if it was as high profile as him, we would have known from the start, so I thought it would have been someone more obscure, but still did a lot for Madhouse such as Yuzo Sato, director of the adaptations of Kaiji and One Outs).
