| This show, having the cliche 'Nakama' theme as it is, I wonder why Mashima didn't write Erza trying to sacrifice herself using the tower to revive Simon. |

| Some people need to be introduced to spoiler tags. That said, what doesn't need to be put in spoiler tags is Erza isn't dead. Since the ops act like previews for the following arc with a new Fairy Tail guild, our heroes fighting Laxus, Natsu teaming up with Gajeel, etc. you only have to notice Erza is in the op. A pretty thoroughly epic episode, the quality of which much of this arc has been sorely lacking. The Jellal vs Natsu fight didn't disappoint. Simon's sacrifice didn't do much for me, he came off as more of a stalker in earlier episodes more than anything else, all he needed was a little puppet made of Erza's hair. As mentioned Erza's in the op and alive so her sacrifice is also kind of meaningless, well executed and tender but lacks a real impact. This show owes a lot to its incredible OST, between this and Shiki I'm going to start watching anime just based on what he's composing for. |

| I wtf'd when Erza randomly changed dresses too. And Simon falling reminded me of how Dumbledore fell after his death in Harry Potter 6. |

| Man, that was really good! This was the best episode of Fairy Tail so far, no doubt. The intensity of the fight was palpable and the ending was pretty good as well. Faity Tail's episode this week surpassed the other shounens |

| So the " GREAT " siegrain was defeated so easy ? Natsu really powned him , I expected much more from one of the council ( I always thought he was the main enemy ). The fight was also way too short , hm maybe he is still alive... |

| This episode is simply so...intense and beautiful ^^ I'm glad the Natsu vs. Gerard fight was greatly and intensely animated..it definitely makes up from last episode... Even though I already knew what will happen next, tt was just so hard not to cry during this episode especially when Simon died, and Natsu was crying when Erza wished to sacrifice herself ;___; the only thing that stopped me from cying is that my brother and my parents are in the room so i have to suppress my tears rawr T^T anyways, the music placement was also nicely done...I really would love to know the name of the music that was played in the end right before they played the ending song...that really made the ending really touching =0 However, i somewhat wished that they were able to fit a few more scenes (the ones that are supposed to happen right after they showed Erza in the [very beautiful] white dress into this episode...which would have made this episode perfect but o well..looks like there will be more crying for me next episode xD So, I really wish I can rate this episode 5+/5 but unfortunately i can't *sigh* =/ |

| I really like this anime, and this episode was amazing. I love how the plot is moving so quickly in this show...so many times, not just in this episode, you get to the half way point and you think 'oh man i can't wait until next week' only to realize you have half of the episode left! The only thing that 'urked' me a little bit about this episode though, I think is only related to previous episodes. But, its also something else that mad me really happy. So many times, you see one character putting their life on the line for another, only to be saved. You have seen Natsu save Grey from killing himself more than once...and have seen Natsu save Erza from doing it too. Again, in this episode, she was going to kill herself to save him again...only to have Simon do the whole thing. It might sound horrible, but I was happy to see the show finally follow through with someone actually dying from doing this....because it was just getting to be way to much with the 'i'll save you...no...you won't' routine. Same kind of feelings I had about Erza at the end of the episode...wondering if she really was going to become one with this thing to stop it from exploding. And she did. I was happy to see follow through. (although..of course..i don't want her really die!) |

You never see them fight, but from the way they act they're a bunch of pompous snobs acting high in their authority, probably out of insecurity for their own powers. Although for Jellal, you can't really do much when your opponent uses a power-up by Etherion. :/ |
