| Is there any plausible reason as to why we never got a season 2 despite the cliffhanger at the end of season 1? Zero was very good but why wasn't there more? I would think it's because they don't want to adapt it all and just want to have people go read the manga instead but who knows. |

The Manga went into Hiatus in 2017, and continued under a new name since 2021. (https://myanimelist.net/manga/142826/No_Game_No_Life__Dai-2_Shou_-_Toubu_Rengou-hen) It's adapting the story very slowly tho, they are still at Episode 09's content. The Light Novel is still ongoing, and even nearing the end, but it also went into Hiatus between 2019 and 2021. Even so, there is 12 Volumes currently out, and the Anime adapted only first 3, on top of the Movie adapting the 6th. So yeah, there is enough material, for almost 3 Seasons of 12 Episodes. |
